About this house rental
We are Ginger & Gold, a family-run Norfolk management company with Superhost status and over 1,800 five-star reviews. We are on hand by message or phone whenever you need us. Some guests want local tips and a chat, others want to be left in peace after a long shift. Either way you are not along in planning your trip.
This is a new residential development on the southern edge of Norwich, popular with hospital staff, visiting workers and academic placements, and easy to settle into.
The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is roughly 3 mins drive, with the UEA and Norwich Research Park around 6 mins. The nearest supermarket is a 4 min drive for the weekly shop.
Head into the city and you get one of the best small cities in England: the Lanes for independent shops and cafes, the market, the cathedral quarter and a proper choice of pubs and restaurants. In the other direction, the Broads and the coast make an easy day off.
For our favourite local spots, from where to eat to what to do on a free Sunday, have a look at the Ginger & Gold Blog.
Guests have the whole house to themselves. Check-in is self service via keybox, with your code emailed before arrival, so you can arrive whenever suits your schedule.
Please note the bath and all showers are on the first floor, reached by a standard staircase, so the house best suits guests comfortable using stairs.
Step into the entrance hall and the stairs are on your left, with the open-plan kitchen and dining room to your right. This room is the showpiece. It stretches the full depth of the house, with bay windows filling the front with light and French doors opening onto the patio at the back. It is kitted out properly too: American fridge freezer, wine cooler, dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, air fryer, toaster and kettle, with a dining table, plenty of workspace, and a small utility room off it with iron, ironing board and hair dryer.
Across the hall is the lounge, with two comfortable sofas and a smart TV with soundbar. Off the porch area you will find the downstairs WC, plus bedroom five, a ground-floor single with a wardrobe, side table and lamp, overlooking the front of the house.
Upstairs, the master bedroom has a super king bed, built-in mirrored storage and its own en suite shower room. A second super king bedroom sits off the landing with built-in wardrobes and a large mirror. At the end of the hallway are two further bedrooms, each with a double bed, storage, a large mirror, side table and lamp. The family bathroom completes the floor, with a separate bath and a walk-in shower.
Outside, the fully enclosed back garden has a patio with seating for four and a small lawned area.
A car is the best way to get around from here. The driveway holds two to three vehicles, there is free unrestricted parking directly outside, and no permits are needed on the street.
The A47 is a few minutes away and connects you across Norfolk in every direction, with the A11 towards Cambridge and London also picked up nearby. Bus links to this part of NR4 are still limited, so we recommend bringing a vehicle. Norwich rail station, with direct trains to London Liverpool Street, is an easy drive of 15- 20 mins when you need it.
No smoking anywhere indoors. No pets at this property. Quiet hours are 9pm to 8am on weekdays and 11pm to 8am at weekends, out of respect for the neighbours.
All bookings require a digitally signed rental agreement (sent via Signable) and photo ID before check-in details are released.
Travel cot and high chair available for £30 with 24 hours notice.
We do not charge for minor accidental breakages, just let us know so we can sort it before the next guest arrives.
