Quayside

Everything really, great location with great views of the River Ouse. Close to all the local activities and pubs, especially the Cock and Bottle on Skeldergate right outside the apartment entrance. Really enjoyed the quiz on Sunday night. Apartment was nicely decorated and clean. The staff at StaysYork were really helpful regarding the parking and any small issues with equipment in the apartment. All in all a really great weekend break, would definitely stay there again. Thank you

The only issue that I could say was the Google home system didn’t work and I as I am quite capable of turning lights on and off I didn’t think it was worth complaining about.

Location was perfect ,exactly where we thought it was from previous visits to York ,Apartment was clean and very comfortable ,we prefer a bath to a shower ,so that suited us as well, welcome pack was lovely and so unexpected. We had a problem with the television couldn’t get it to work ,Young man came to the apartment to set it up as best he could ,it’s was fine for us but maybe new guests would want all channels ,we didn’t have ITV ,we could live without that for a few days ..no complaints ,would highly recommend to family and friends and would return ourselves if visiting York again

Nothing at all

Fantastic location with lovely views across the river. A very short walk into the main parts of York, with old town just across the bridge. A short walk from the Train station too which is convenient. We were in apartment 36 that was on the third floor so had amazing views. The apartment was clean and well designed and felt very cosy. There is a lift for those who can't do the stairs. Kitchen was well kitted out with everything you could possibly need (including coffee machine!!) and lounge had two comfy sofas. We didn't use the TV's but there are two, one in lounge and one in bedroom. Free wifi is provided and the internet connection was very good. There was (we think) a welcome hamper but it wasn't clear if that was a free gift or if it would be charged to use it so we left it where it was just in case. We would definitely stay here again not only for the location but for the very reasonable price.

Windows only open a couple of inches and there is no aircon so very hot in the summer. Ceiling fan didn't work but two portable fans provided. The bed is quite short (likely due to integrated TV at the end) and at 6ft I found that a little uncomfortable. The apartment features 'google' controls for most lights etc (there are also manual controls) but google just kept reporting that they were not connected to the internet. If I am being picky, the shower screen in the bathroom has some mould in the bottom seal that was a little off putting.

Location and Staff assistance was great.

Apartment was hot in the afternoon and early evening. Too much furniture and fittings for apartment. Dark coloured walls made it a little oppressive.
