Bubble of peace and quiet on the lake, comfortable, great outdoors

Great hotel on the lake, perfect to take the ferries and visit the islands but also for walks and bike rides. The hotel offers a big breakfast buffet which you can also enjoy outside overlooking the lake. We really enjoyed this bubble of peace and calm, even though the hotel is quite big. It's been renovated recently, the rooms are comfortable, yet with a standard touch. The staff was friendly. The hotel is located 5min from a grocery store and 10min from the nearest town. We enjoyed the big lawn, perfect for kids to run around.

A truly wonderful gastehaus!

Our stay at Gasthaus Sissi was absolutely wonderful and exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. Our room was not only spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable, but it also offered breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The attention to detail throughout the guesthouse, from the cozy decor to the thoughtful amenities, truly made us feel at home. The breakfast spread each morning was a highlight – a delicious array of fresh, local products that fueled us perfectly for our day's adventures. What truly sets Gasthaus Sissi apart, however, is the exceptional hospitality of the hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, offering fantastic local recommendations and making us feel like valued guests, not just customers. The location in Garmisch-Partenkirchen is ideal for exploring, with easy access to hiking trails and charming town centers. We left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and already planning our next visit. Highly, highly recommend!

Magical place to stay

Everything was great! The big garden is wonderfull - lots of birds, ducks and geese who walk in a flock on the grass and go down to the lake ! The room was perfect and breakfast is the best!!!

Excellent location, right on the lake, surrounded by a park. The room is big and clean. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is excellent, served on the terrace.

2 Days Stay by the Lake

Hotel Aiterbach is a lovely hotel in a scenic and relaxing location by the Lake. I wish I could stay for a month The views are very special. Michaela was friendly and helpful with local and tourist information. Emily also made us feel very welcome. Thank you to all the staff. We enjoyed watching the birds and ducks down by the jetty. Breakfast was delicious.

The hotel is a great package in itself - amazing service, very pleasant and helpful personnel, good selection of breakfast, the location is superb as it was positioned with a beautiful view and landscaped well. The effort to give their guests a great experience is felt in every corner. Thumbs up to the management and staff.

Its not that it was not liked but we wish there would have been a room downstairs or an elevator to cater elderly specially those who have difficulty in climbing the stairs.

Wonderful Hotel in a wonderful location - Perfect stay.

Absolutely wonderful Hotel. We could not have asked for any more. Beautiful, quiet location directly on the Cheimsee with lovely gardens. Incredibly warm and friendly staff. Superb breakfast. Extremely comfortable room with lovely view. Lovely little boat house to allow you to go rowing on the lake, plus a fabulous little sun deck out on a jetty by the water. The beautiful 150 year old, traditional Bavarian building just added to the charm. Only 35 mins drive into the mountains for walks and direct on the round the lake bike track. Can't wait to stay there again.

Good overnight stay on the Chiemsee

Very nice grounds on the Chiemsee with good inside bike storage and immediately off the bike trail . Reception staff friendly and helpful . No on-site restaurant which is a bit of a problem to go to restaurants that are 2 or 3 in. away if weather bad and riding a bike. Stayed in newer building with lift which was convenient. Room was updated , bright , cheerful and clean . Nice clean bathroom . Good breakfast with numerous food choices . Large selection of chilled nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages as well as fruit and snacks available in the breakfast room the other day .

Die Hotelverwalterin hat schnell auf meine Nachrichten reagiert. Wir kamen spät an und erhielten eine detaillierte Wegbeschreibung. Das Zimmer war sauber und ein Bett für Kind war bereits vorbereitet. Alles im Zimmer funktionierte einwandfrei und war komfortabel. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet, wunderschön angerichtet und mit hochwertigen Lebensmittel zubereitet. Am Abend standen im Kühlschrank des Restaurants Getränke bereit. Schönes Gelände und großer Parkplatz. Freundliches Personal. Netflix war verfügbar. Und eine tolle Aussicht aus dem Fenster 🤩

Het buffet was van goede kwaliteit en lekker maar er was geen rekening gehouden met kinderen. Onze zoon heeft niets gegeten. Misschien een suggestie om een simpele pasta (bolognese, pesto of met zalm) toe te voegen aan het buffet wat door kinderen zeker gewaardeerd zal worden.
