Great, if you want to explore Chiemsee

Very close to the docks of Chiemsee/Prien. Our room was just next to the Chiemseebahn so it was enjoyable to hear and see the train pass by every hour. But it could be annoying for silence-seekers. Breakfast was great and the host was amazing. Very accommodating. I was able to stay a bit longer than the check-out (11.00h) because of a telephonic meeting at no extra cost. Parking is a bit tricky but manageable

The rooms can get extremely hot during summer. There is no ventilation or fans provided. And the pillows are a bit uncomfortable

Nice hotel close to the lake

Nice hotel close to the lake Chiemsee. Excellent location for taking the boat tours to the islands. Also a short walk to the restaurants by the lake. And we would recommend walking 10 mins to the Prienavera Erlebnisbad with heated pools and sauna after a long day touristing.

Cosy room with very comfortable bed in a great location.

Super comfortable bed and pillows. Cosy room. Very nice breakfast with many choices. A special like for the individually packed options.

Shower cabin is rather small and it only has rain shower option, no regular shower handle, which is inconvenient if you don’t want to wash your hair every time you take a shower.

Good stay close to the lake

- Very friendly service, even allowed us to check in early - Clean, comfortable rooms, though nothing special - Very close to the lake (200m) and other activities (mini-golf, bike rental etc.) - Extremely good breakfast buffet

- Right next to the train tracks where the tourist trains regularly goes by, making quite a bit of noise - Bathroom was of an older generation and the shower usually set the entire room under water

Very good Bavarian-style hotel in good location with excellent restaurant.

Excellent location 5 minutes walk from Chiemsee, 15 minutes walk from Prien. Rooms and bed comfortable. Free parking on site for guests, excellent restaurant, good communication with hotel.

Very charming stay

Very charming and clean hotel, looks like room and bathroom had renovation. looks very good. a restaurant serves very tasty dishes and have a huge portion. Heating and hot water works perfectly. we also had a big balcony.

unfortunately room doesn’t have a sound proof door and windows. so you can hear a noise from outside or from corridor. but it was not bothering too much. as a balcony is all around the building and borders between room are not fully dividing it from each other we saw person from other room on our balcony.

Lovely hotel right next to the lake.

- the hotel is right next to the lake. - the steam train is right next to the hotel and it will take you to the central station. Unfortunately this runs daily in summer and during the Christmas market days, otherwise it is about a 20 minute walk to the station. - reception and staff were lovely. - breakfast was nice and they have the original concept of putting some stuff in jars. The scrambled eggs were good over the weekend, however I was disappointed that they only had boiled eggs on Monday. - they have a restaurant and there are other restaurants and cafeteria close by.

Perfect location for the ferries and good restaurants. Well maintained old feel hotel. The room was big and comfortable, nice size bathroom. The breakfast was above expectations. Sylvia was friendly and helpful.

The room was spacious with a good sized balcony. The decor throughout the hotel was very nice, typical Bavarian. The breakfast was very good.

We could not get the tv to work(it was not the batteries in the remote) and there was no one on reception to report it to in the evening. Lack of spare sockets next to bed.

This was my first time here, and I look forward to staying here again next year.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, as I wanted to take the boat to the island the next day to visit Herrenchiemsee Palace. The boat area was a minute away on foot. We chose to eat dinner in the hotel restaurant, and the food was fantastic! I was also able to park at the hotel, which was nice.

I was totally happy with my stay. There was nothing that I did not like.

Nice place, nice location, everything you need to enjoy your stay at Chiemsee!

Location is very good, 5 min walk to the pier to catch the boat to the island where is Herrenchiemsee Palace. If you are coming from train is just 20/25 min walking. Breakfast is very good! Vegan and Vegetarian friendly. Our room was wide with a balcony. The lady who received us was very nice and speaks english.

The room had a smell (i think for not being used or lack of fresh air) but after we open the balcony door it disappear. Bathroom bit small but functionable.

Clean rooms, very friendly staff,

We liked the very very friendly staff allover and the cleanliness of the property. The Beer Garden was comfortable and the Bavarian menue sounded good. The cook did a very good job every of the 3 nights we were dining there. The included breakfast was delicious too.

If you like to have a balcony, you have to send an explicit message to the hotel directly after booking. I thought I have booked a room with balcony, but it wasn’t so, because I didn’t know the procedere before checking in.

Short stay in a dirt hotel

Tastefull coffee and wide variety of food on breakfast. Nice and attentive waiter during dinner. Easy to find a hotel. 300m to the lake port.

Dirt in a shower: we found on arriving dark hair in a sink, on the bathroom walls, on the floor. It looks that they continue to grow while we stay in the hotel: appeared from the new unexpected places from everywhere. Shower is too small: you can't avoid too hot or too cold water from a shower head leaking on you.
