Historic hotel in an excellent location

-Terrific location in the centre of St Moritz Dorf, immediately adjacent to the pedestrian zone. -Easy access to the cog railway station for skiing -Great breakfast and breakfast room -Historic hotel -Basement bars are fun, with live music

-Rooms could do with some updating -rooftop spa area too small for the size of the hotel. Steam room not functioning. -no gym

A super hotel. We hope to return.

Excellent breakfast, with an extensive buffet, in a lovely restaurant, and a chef to cook the eggs. The hotel's location is ideal, close to the shops and the funicular. The car was valet parked for me in the outdoor car park, with a screen cover for ice protection. It was convenient if I needed to return to the car for something. The staff kept clearing away the fresh snow in the car park and on the day we checked out, after heavy snow, one of the guys helped me in fitting snow chains (actually he did it all). The hotel's sauna and roof terrace was a bonus and we also enjoyed the pianist in the lounge. The staff on reception were really knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The level of service can't be faulted.

The bedroom would have benefited from more clothes storage. There was enough space to the side of the desk for a chest of drawers, which would have been useful for a a stay of six days with ski clothing as well as regular outfits. The lighting switches were baffling, with dimmers and faders seemingly with a mind of their own.

It was old and in need of update. The sauna facilites weren’t cleaned properly-?the steam room didn’t work!

Perfect stay

Very nice piano bar, with very proffesional stuff, we had waiter , the men from Italy, who was so proffesional, something you can not easily find. So we would like to thank him for hospitality , this is something that made our stay unforgetable. The hotel its self looks really nice, the view from the junior sweet overlooking the lake is amazing

Good location, service below expectations

Central location, very good breakfast

Service has to be improved. The reception was closed (need to call) on a Saturday evening at 11 PM but amenities like live piano and staff at the bar were all there. The mood of our evening was destroyed because we left for Dinner at 8PM picking up the car from the garage. At 11PM we came back and parking in the garage wasn’t anymore available, the staff wasn’t able to find my parking spot and we were told that my car will be left outside all night. Nobody was able to assist because they haven’t enough staff on Saturday, which for a 4 star hotel in St Moritz this isn’t acceptable.

Breakfast was delicious with awesome views. The staff was courteous and attentive.

Totally our mistake but we ordered a pizza with sausage and fries. We thought fries with pizza was different but we’re surprised that it was just hot dogs. We should have asked more questions before we ordered, we will laugh about that for awhile.

Amazing views clean and spacious accommodation with healthy quality food choices and attentive staff

Breakfast buffet was high quality and fresh. Hot food to order, meats and cheeses, healthy cereals with all types of milk and milk alternatives. Several types of local freshly baked Bread with some tasty pastries. Coffee was Italian Barista with a substantial variety of teas. Staff went to a lot of trouble to celebrate our anniversary and give us gifts. Transport shuttle to the train station was free.

The hotel looked recently refurbished however it had some heritage. Therefore the drains did get smelly sometimes, even though the bathroom was very clean.

An excellent stay in St Moritz and the Hotel Schweizerhof

The hotel was centrally located. I also liked the free courtesy pick up from the railway station especially with luggage. The breakfast was excellent offering both hot and cold food.

Our room was beautiful and large with a fantastic view of the mountains with the snow on the top. Plus we overlooked the lake which was all so picturesque. The hotel staff were very helpful with any requests u had. I would stay here if we came back to St. Moritz again. We just loved it 😊

Room had too many lights that cannot be turned off and distract sleep. No blackout curtains so gets light very early in the morning. Room had no form of air conditioning to cool the room.

Historic hotel in St Moritz

Large and historic hotel close to the pedestrian centre of St Moritz. Free hotel shuttle when arriving at the railway station, 10 minutes walk downhill to the station when leaving. Very helpful staff at Reception and in bar. Spacious room with views over snow-covered mountains and the lake. Heaps of hanging space and drawers for clothes, nice slippers and robes, and plenty of desk and table space. Mini fridge with free drinks. Kettle and coffee-making facilities. No air conditioning, but windows all open. Large, charmingly old-fashioned bathroom with double basin, and shower over bath. Evening turn-down service with chocolates provided. Good breakfast in beautiful dining room, with eggs cooked to order. Casual restaurant available for dinner. Close to escalator down to lake level and to local bus stop (regular bus services up from railway station). Lovely walk round lake.

We stayed out of season (end April) so most shops, hotels, restaurants, and cable cars up the mountains were closed. Hotel shuttle driver allowed my suitcases to fall to the ground when opening the luggage storage area of his vehicle, including the bag containing my computer.

Outstanding!

Just one word: Wonderful! The hotel has friendly and knowledgeable staff, a central location within walking distance of the train station, and a wide range of restaurants nearby. It also has a complimentary top-floor sauna with incredible lake views, a nice breakfast venue, and a clean and comfortable room. Yes, I want to stay at Schweizerhof St. Moritz again.

The view

The room was very tired and old and the layout made it hard to find a space for our luggage. Bathroom has seen better days and is stained so even though I think it was clean, it didn’t look it. There were some renovations going on in one blocked off section of the hotel so hopefully this is a sign of improvement going forward.

Perfect location in the centre of St. Moritz

The location is perfect in the center of St. Moritz. Spectacular views over Lake St. Moritz from the room and from the terrace. Convenient parking just outside the hotel. A very nice storage room for the ski equipment with private heated lockers. Friendly and helpful staff.

The beds including pillows and duvets were not comfortable. I expected a better breakfast. In general the hotel is in need of some refurbishing.

Heavenly hotel

Stunning views, comfortable room. One of the best things was a free ticket for all local transport. We were able to go up to Diavolezza for free! Beautiful breakfast as well.

The location was amazing and the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. They had a fantastic breakfast too.

Our room was extremely hot. We turned off the heating but it was still very hot. We were able to sleep with the window open which cooled it down a bit.

Location Was Great in the Heart of Town

The location and size of room we had were both good. Terrasse on the top floor is awesome. Breakfast selection and the egg station was superb, also appreciated the Italian restaurant on lobby floor was opened long hours so you could always grab something to eat.

Relaxation area on top floor was not cleaned in time and filled with dirty glasses and towels on the chairs. Shops on basement floor were mostly closed the whole time and smells heavy cigarettes.
