We were on the 5th floor. There were times we had no water pressure or water.

Amazing location - a traditional building next to the ferry port

The personnel was very friendly in all communication before and during our stay. We requested a baby cod as well as a reservation for the parking - both were processed quickly and in a very friendly manner.

The breakfast was okay - but nothing exceptional. The coffee from the fully automated machine was not as tasty as we had in other places where you get it manually made. Also the cheese and sausage selection was on the lower end. Still, the choices were plenty including fresh fruit, juices and many sweets.

Great location, hotel a bit outdated and wrong room received

Location was great, good selection for breakfast and staff was friendly

We booked a room with lake view and received a room with partial lake view, which was almost a joke. I was disappointed, as we chose this hotel because we thought having lake view. I went to talk to the hotel manager, who apologised and said it was an issue between booking and their system. They said they will fix it, nevertheless be aware in case you book lake view and better double confirm with the hotel! The hotel is a bit outdated and could be freshened.

Perfect place to explore the Lago Maggiore.

Perfect location for a short or extended stay on Lago Maggiore. On the lake across from the ferry terminal to the Borromeo islands and other lake towns. A few steps from the main piazza and good restaurants. Historical building, spacious rooms most of them with a view of the lake, professional courteous staff and parking. Good breakfast.

Lovely location, lovely staff!

The hotel was in a lovely location with plenty of restaurants nearby and Lake Maggiore just across the road!

The only lift broke down for 3-4 days which made it very difficult as our room was on the 4th floor, and my wife has heart problems and my Dad is 90 years of age.

Very convenient for the ferry and restaurants in Pallanza

The location is ideal for the ferry and access to the tourist train to Locarno. No restaurant but there are several within a couple of minutes walk. We liked Arties with an outside terrace. There was a small balcony with a view of the lake. Free parking.

There was loud music from the bar next door that was heard most of the time that the balcony was open. The free gated carpark was 8 to 10 minutes walk away, not good if it was raining although you could park outside to load/offload cases.

Superb

I stayed for five nights in Hotel Pallanza in the end of september. Before my stay I asked to stay in a higher level, which I got, with an excellent view and three large windows that I could open. The room was very clean and everything was very comfortable, loved to have the room scent as well. The bathroom was pleasantly large and shower was quite comfortable and with good water pressure. Its very nice to have a walk/run towards Intra along a beautiful path along the lake and through a nice neighbourhood with a lot of trees and flowers.

The walls seem to very thin so you can hear people in the next room quite clearly (even though you have ear plugs) and even though they do offer a few types of tea and a kettle to boil water, I would have preferred instant coffee (but it is easy to buy it in the shop nearby). Less plastic would be nice to see as well!

Location fantastic, central to ferry depot, across a small street from the lake. We paid just a little more for lake view with balcony and really glad we did! great buffet breakfast.

Great location

Great location, in the center of Palanza at the lake. Good breakfast. Hotel offered free parking spot at approx. 500 m of hotel. Nice bar downstairs with terrace. Enough restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel.

Bed was a bit hard and the sheets not ideal. Rooms are a bit noisy (you can easily hear conversations of neighbours)

Very romantic but don't trust these guys to book a cab or answer your questions about the room

The location is great, the breakfast was tasty, and the price was right. Overall very romantic, a good choice for couples.

The staff didn't do a good job of explaining how to use the electricity in the room, even though we asked about it three times, so we spent most of our only night there with only minimal power. They totally botched our taxi order on the way out such that we almost missed our train. These points may not be applicable for everybody but they make it difficult for me to rate this place any higher. Despite the beautiful location, I wouldn't go back.

A place to avoid in Verbania Pallanza ( IT)

Not much. the breakfast was ok. Thre eis afree parking located at about 300yards/ 300 m.

A lot! The receptionist initially assigned us a loft room with a roof window without curtains ( it gets light at 5am) and only after mentioning that I would be asked to give feedback he gave us a tiny room with an old-fashioned bathroom. - A low was our evening visit to the hotel bar, where an exceedingly rude waitress told us 40 minutes before closing time that no drinks would be served and grabbed the chair cushions literally from underneath us.. The ensuing fracas escalated in her physically showering me with the drink. Ultimately everything was resolved (including the dry cleaner), but it was a unique experience. If you can, avoid this place. there are many ther better for the same price.

We had a great stay and actually stayed a few days longer than we planned

The beds and pillows were wonderful. The Breakfast in the morning was fabulous. The location was beautiful and our room had a gorgeous lake view.

Almost perfect

It is located in a perfect location, there was also free parking, the booking gave a good offer which was half of the price indicated on the reception. Delicious breakfast, comfortable bed, nice fragrance everywhere, stylish furnitures and accessories. The climate is really cold, the room is quiet, maybe we were the loudest there:p

Slow receptionist,the clima is on when you are out of the room which is nice ,but then at the nite you have just a bed linen which is not enough(it was extra blanket in the wardrobe,what gives me a quite of tent feeling.

Very nice location to visit Verbania and Islands BOROMEE

Hotel is well located in front of lake, close to downtown of Verbania. People could let the car in free parking lot and just walk. Staff is friendly and helpful. Free parking is a real advantage the hotel has charm of 19th. With modern equipment and furniture
