Beautiful location and a really nice size apartment, perfect for a getaway. It was well stocked with toiletries, cleaning supplies and cooking utensils.
The hosts had made up a really useful guide to the area; in particular the hint about a side road saved us from continuously walking up and down the extremely steep hill that the house sits atop.
Allen was available if we needed anything but otherwise we were left alone, which is what we personally prefer. There was a key safe to pick up keys on arrival and there was a parking space on the property.
My biggest issue during our stay was the double bed. I don't know if the mattress needs replacing or if it was just a soft mattress but I felt that the mattress lacked structure and my back really suffered for it.
I also wish that the recycling bin situation was a bit clearer. In Kent we have separate bins for rubbish, food waste and recycling, and I could see that there were some green and blue bins on the street but I wasn't sure who they belonged to so in the end we had to just throw it all in the black bins. This felt very much against the spirit of the beautiful surroundings.

The location is great as only a 5 minute walk down the hill into bowness.
Is in a quiet area and the flat is nicely presented and has all the facilities you need.
Will definitely stay again
