Best Santorini has to offer

Extremely close to the parking lot so we did not have to worry about our luggage, the staff took it for us straight to the villa. The caldera view from the room is breathtaking. While everyone visiting Santorini ran to find the best sunset spot, we could watch is comfortably from our villa. There was a good selection of breakfast every morning that you could select from their set menu options, the staff was extremely nice, and the rooms were so nice. The hot tub and sun bed definitely made it better. It’s the last hotel on that strip so it was so private and quiet compared to hotels that are in the main areas where every tourist passes by. There was even a huge sitting area at the very top where you could relax and chill (I used it as my photo session spot every day)

I wish the room windows had tinted glass so you were able to see the views from the room and not have to worry about being seen by other people (from the other rooms) passing by

Our stay was wonderful. The perfect location. Very quiet and private. It was a bit windy, and staff arrived very quickly whenever we asked for the hot tub to be cleaned. Staff were very friendly. The breakfast each morning was delicious.

Better options available and would not recommend.

Location was ok but not so convenient. view was good but SPA water was cold. Bathrooms had bad smell. Also, Breakfast was not good and forced to pick the same menu for all guests. The sausages in the breakfast looked like few tiny pepperoni pieces instead. Stayed at other places much nicer views for half the price and with great breakfast selections.

A Perfect Mini-Moon Stay

We stayed here for two nights after getting married in Santorini, as a mini-moon before heading home, and it truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The bellboy effortlessly carried all our luggage down countless stairs, which left us amazed right from the start. Our room was absolutely breathtaking, even more beautiful than we had hoped for. The views were simply indescribable, and the sense of privacy was incredible. Despite being in the heart of busy Oia, it felt like our own peaceful sanctuary, completely undisturbed. The breakfast service was another highlight. We could choose exactly what we wanted and when we wanted it, and each morning it was delivered to our room. There was so much delicious food, all beautifully prepared, we looked forward to it every day. Room service was also available, which added to the comfort and convenience of our stay. We truly loved every moment and didn’t want to leave. A magical experience we'll never forget!

Unfortunately, the bed was noticeably concave in the middle, which made it difficult to sleep comfortably. No matter where we started off, we’d both end up rolling into the center during the night. It really affected the quality of our sleep.

Perfect, tranquil place to stay for a quiet getaway! I cannot recommend the Marizan enough. We were able to enjoy breathtaking sunsets right from our pool, which made the experience unforgettable. The service was brilliant – staff were incredibly courteous and attentive throughout our stay. Our bedroom had the most stunning ocean view, truly out of this world, and breakfast was beautifully laid out for us each morning. The location was ideal as well, with the main sightseeing spots just a short walk away. If you’re looking for a relaxing escape with unbeatable views and top-notch hospitality, Marizan is the perfect choice!

Perfect Oia stay, would definitely stay again

Loved everything! We arrived late at night so Marios helped us order dinner and drinks so we could relax right away. Zanet helped me every single day via her personal WhatsApp from ordering food to helping to plan our hike. Night time room cleaning service is a great touch. Uninterrupted sunset views of the Caldera as Marizan is the last lot of villas on the cliff. Sensational stay!

Perfect Santorini

Picture perfect cave villa in oia, Santorini. Everyone was incredibly helpful and kind. Breakfast was included and they left it on our porch. We had a nice hot tub on the porch and could watch the legendary sunset from there. There are multiple excellent choices for breakfast. There are a lot of steps in Santorini. Here there is no question. The staff carries your bags up and down! If you are coming in on the ferry the port is crazy when the ferry lands- book the transfer via the hotel and it will be seamless. Walking to the town of oia is very easy - 3 minutes. I think this is the best location because it is on the edge of oia so you get the best view of the sunset. Once in a lifetime experience - but it happens every day at marizan!

Overall it was just okay for the price that we paid for, plus we got our luggage broken.

We couldn’t get a good view of the sunset because there is a mountain on the right side. And the disappointing part of our stay was when the bellboy broke the handle of our luggage when we arrived. We know that it happens, but it was also because he jerked it up carelessly which caused it to break. He must have been tired carrying bags the whole day but I think it is common sense and proper courtesy to pull it out with care.

Oia perfection

Everything at Marizan Caves is pure perfection! The breakfast each morning is incredible, the staff are amazing and attentive, the villa was beautiful and the location amazing. It's out far enough to be away from the crowd but close enough that you won't miss any action. Your toughest decision each day will be whether you sip wine in your villa from your private pool/spa watching the sunset or whether you venture out. We did both and for our last Santorini sunset decided the best spot was in fact from the villa.

Absolutely nothing! Perhaps be mindful of all the stairs if you are low mobility. We knew there would be stairs so it wasn't an issue for us.

Simply amazing… five star facilities and services all around!

This property is absolutely amazing. It’s a 5 or less minute walk to all of the iconic Santorini spots, yet tucked away as one of the last hotels on the island away from the insane crowds that would otherwise look into your private balcony area. Clean, amazing breakfast brought to you, great room service and the most outgoing, friendly people working here that will do anything to assist in making your stay more comfortable. I’d spend the money and then some all over again in a heartbeat!

Marizan Caves is paradise. Our villa was perfectly tucked away on the very corner of the bluff with the best views of the sunset in all of Oia! Super private from other travelers not staying in the villa. Yet only a 2 minute walk from the action. A private terrace with a full panoramic view. Markets close by for water and snacks and amazing food nearby no need for a car unless you plan to travel the island. Vicky and the staff were incredible and they offer an amazing breakfast to get your adventure started. We are new to Greece but quickly felt right at home in this location. 10/10

Beautiful property and wonderfully helpful staff. Can't recommend this place enough.

Well communicated ... in my language and an easy process to check in. The office is occupied and available for personal check-in until around 9pm, depending upon their arrivals. The only reason we checked off that we didn't have a "quiet" room was because some construction company at a neighboring property (of which I don't believe the facility had control) decided to start drilling through concrete at 7:30AM on the day of our departure. The rest of the stay was perfect. Great location, since you have instant access to sunset basically from your room (a popular - and crowded - event if you are "in town"), or one of the property's common areas. Santorini is simply fabulous and, if you don't mind doing a bit of walking around on non-level ground, Oia is just as charming as you might be imagining. Oia is, however, super crowded from mid morning to sunset, but if you can sift through that you will find jewel-in-the-rough cafés and restaurants and some nice galleries to buy real local artistry, etc. And, of course, you can find the normal me-too tourist fare. I cannot recommend this location enough.

The private spa was fantastic, but we never could get the jets to work. Even if we are perfectly willing to accept this as operator error (i.e. somehow our inability to make it work) this was a small bother. Also, the aforementioned rude construction crew that started work too early, for which we really don't blame the property as we didn't call them to effect a cure.

A real honeymoon accommodation.

The staff are like your tour guide there, you can reserve anything you want on the island through them. They take care of you and your vacation. The Caves are different and we took the one with a whirpool. It was great! It was very big like a suite with a small kitchen and a fridge. The location is also amazing and sunset is just perfect from the Terrace of the room or the hotel terrace.

In the Cave we stayed in is the disadvantage that you have neighbors with just 50 cm wide fence made from plants, flowers. It depends on your luck how those neighbors will be like and how they will behave. They are actually staying in completely another hotel but still staying just beside you that your privacy might be affected.

3rd time in Santorini wa a lovely but realizing that we are getting less for our money each time.

The views and breakfast were great! Daily visits from the local kittens were something we looked forward too. Sunsets are always unmatched in Oia.

I will probably go to a resort or international chain establishment next time, unfortunately. The personal pool was quite dirty despite getting seemingly cleaned every morning. Only felt comfortable using it a couple times. The bathroom was dark and damp. It just felt a bit uncomfortable and unclean for me. I didn’t like we had to go to the office to select breakfast options each morning. With breakfast, they should bring the form to choose the following day’s breakfast, instead of us having to go to reception. I also did t like being in a room very far down the cliff - it was exercise just leaving the room every time :D this place is not for those with mobility issues or wanting a physically relaxing experience. Especially since there are no real amenities with this place compared to others: no massage services, no common pool area. Just a common patio where you can order drinks. For massage and larger pool, we just went to other luxury villas in Oia, like Mystique, and found a local beach.
