Sole d'oro Sunset & Caldera View Grand Suite

The hosts met us at the post office parking lot and carried our suitcases to the house. When we arrived at the house after a short walk, they told us this was the best villa in Oia. They were right. The 270 degree views were simply unbeatable, see the attached pictures, all taken directly from the balcony of Sole D'Oro. This property is perfectly positioned to capture all of Oia and Santorini's best views. Didn't have to fight any crowds to get amazing Blue Dome or Sunset pictures. Great people watching along the sidewalk and the Castle of Oia, but perfectly quiet at night. The rooms were comfy, the AC worked great, and the location at the end of Oia was phenomenal. The warm hot-tub spa tucked privately away on the balcony was also a really nice treat. Loved our stay in Sole D'Oro and would look to book here again on our next trip.

Location can’t be beat! Gorgeous views from every window. It was the best watching the famous sunset from our balcony and avoiding the crowds.

The beds are not very comfortable and the decor could use a little updating.

The location is superb. It is central and the views are magnificent.

I honestly can’t think of anything that I don’t like. My kids were so excited to be here and the place was perfect to accommodate 5 of us.

The location was excellent—close enough to walk into Oia, yet tucked away from the crowds, making it peaceful and relaxing. The villa was clean, comfortable, and had a charming, traditional Cycladic feel. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with recommendations and arranging transportation.

The villa could benefit from more storage space, as there wasn’t much room to unpack or organize clothing during our stay. While the property has a lovely rustic, traditional charm, it felt more authentic than luxurious. Setting expectations accordingly in the listing would help guests choose the style of accommodation that’s right for them.
