Perfect stay and perfect host!

Very good location in Oia. Just around 5 minutes walking to Oia Castle and bus station. The room is not big but efficient. You may enjoy the ocean view balcony yet still have privacy. Ivana is a very nice lady and makes everything a breeze. Will definitely stay again!

None. But if I have to pick something, there’s a very minus one: the way to open/ close the main gate is a little bit tricky. Of course not at all a problem to me!

Central, spacious, private

Everything. Central location with incredible views while not being exposed to foot traffic. Two bathrooms, a kitchen and a large sized cave pool. Inside the apartment was very spacious. Hosts Faye and Dimitris were always warm, helpful and accomodating.

Great views and ideal location.

The location was perfect, the sunset could be seen just around the corner from our front door. Very spacious, and private with 2 levels to enjoy the Caldera views. A fantastic plunge pool, table & chairs with an umbrella to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. The accommodation overlooks the castle. Highly recommend.

WOW! The most beautiful property we have ever stayed at. The views, the location, the facilities… everything is amazing. I would highly recommend this place, it is just breathtaking. Dimitris carried our bags from the drop off point to the property, including up the stairs!!! He’s such a legend!!! Faye was so wonderful, gave us lots of tips and recommendations for the island. Loved our stay at Hector Cave House, thanks for having us !!!! We will definitely be back.

Amazing views in a great location

The location was fantastic and the room was clean and comfortable. The hot tub and the view was amazing and very relaxing. Faye was great to deal with and helped us organise our holiday and transfers, which made us feel at ease. Dimitri was friendly and helped us with our luggage. I definitely recommend Hector Cave and will be going back again.

When we entered the property, we were greeted with a lovely surprise: a sweet gift and a bottle of wine waiting for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. The place itself was immaculately clean—spotless in every corner—and smelled absolutely luxurious. The amenities, including the shampoo and toiletries, were high-end and made us feel like we were staying in a five-star resort. The view from the property was simply breathtaking, and the location couldn’t have been better. Just a short walk to the famous sunset spots, top restaurants, and all the best parts of Santorini. The host also provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and must-see places, which made our experience even more enjoyable. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The view (wow wow wow!), privacy of space, communication of staff (sooo helpful), closeness to shops/restaurants, pool (so worth it) and air conditioning (thank goodness) in cave like room!

Hot water ran out quickly, pillows weren’t very comfortable, there wasn’t anywhere to put your suitcases, the cats peeing on things outside was frustrating (obviously this issue is one that can’t be helped as there are cars everywhere)

Pictures cannot do it justice: unbelievable views, comfort, and hospitality

Our stay at Hector Cave House in Oia was absolutely spectacular. The location was perfect, offering a truly breathtaking view. The patio furniture was incredibly comfortable, making it ideal to sit and relax while watching the crowds visiting the fort. Inside, the cave house was thoughtfully designed to maximize the use of space, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Faye warmly welcomed us upon arrival, helped us arrange all the transportation from the ferry and back to the ferry when we left. She had wonderful restaurant recommendations, and even completely arranged an unforgettable sunset cateraman tour which has been the highlight of our trip. Dimitris made it incredibly easy, meeting us when we arrive and carrying out luggage and even packing out our luggage when we left. Hector Cave House and Faye is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for anyone visiting Santorini and would give 6 stars if we could.

The accommodation exceeded our expectations and made for a wonderful stay to celebrate my 60th birthday

The location in the old town is brilliant. Close to the castle shops and restaurants. The main path is just at the bottom of our stairs but you are far enough away to not be bothered by passing traffic. The jacuzzi was a little sanctuary to come back to every day. The cave house is very roomy and comfortable. It was all as good as we expected. Would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone. Worth the price for sure.

The ventilator in the bedroom was a little noisy. That is about it.

Relaxing, convenient, private.

Absolutely beautiful!!! The view was breath taking the service was unbelievable! They walked our bags all through the streets, wine and gifts on arrival & service was unbelievable. In the busy craziness of Santorini this is bliss! The place is so clean, right next to all the right restaurants without feeling like we are on top of each other with other villas. Our beautiful host was so helpful, polite and made it amazing for us! Couldn’t recommend enough.

Dream trip to Oia

Wow wow wow! What an incredible stay. The location is perfect. I booked the Caldera Nest Studio and it was the ideal size for a solo traveller. The terrace is a great size and the plunge pool makes it extra special. Faye was the most amazing and accommodating host. The views of the caldera are unreal!

Loved the view!

We were met and helped to our cave house. The view was gorgeous and just a short distance away from a view of the sunset. There are no laundry facilities in town, so the host supplied us with a wash basin, soap and clothes pins. Loved seeing cats show up on the patio.

This property is gorgeous! Well worth the money. Very private with plenty of room. We had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, beautiful room, soaker tub, rain shower and hot tub. It is right on the cliff with excellent views. It is just like the pictures. The staff are incredibly accommodating, we had a mishap with our emails not coming through to them and they were very understanding and even got us checked in early.

If I had to find something, the A/C unit can be loud at night. The power went out one night, but this was due to a rainstorm and was back on within 10 minutes. The issue with email seemed to be through booking.com and was on my end with my internet provider. What’s app is the best way to communicate!

Absolutely amazing!

The location, view, hotel room, balcony, and staff were all absolutely amazing! The staff was very communicative before and throughout the entire stay. They accommodated us dropping our bags off early and early check in as best they could. They showed us to the room and gave us great tips for things to do and restaurants around the island. The room had a full bed and smaller couches which served as beds. Two lovely showers full with shampoo, conditioner, soaps, face washes, and more! The balcony had a small pool, room temperature, which was lovely. View was amazing! Couldn't see sunset from the room end of September but was just a short walk away. This location is central to everything you need in Oia! Highly recommend and would love to stay here again.

The perfect Santorini stay.

Amazing views of the Caldera and the volcanoes. Great terrace area and pool to enjoy the views from. The cave house was impeccably presented inside & out. Perfectly situated just a short 2 minute walk from the centre of Oia and many restaurants. The hosts & hector cave house housekeeping team were incredible, extremely helpful and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble for them from arranging various activities and even doing some grocery shopping at our request ahead of our arrival. We'll definitely be booking again.
