We were most comfortable ,room very spacious with huge wardrobe space

the breakfasts were wonderful as we arrived place was set with yogurt parfait and fruit juice ready for us to tuck in and decide on a cooked meal. Tom was a great host helped us carry 2 large bags up stairs and produced the iron I had requested ,on arrival.as we were heading to a formal event.

Can not rate the Avlon House highly enough 1,000 times better than staying at a hotel

Highly recommend and will stay again when next in Carlow 10 out of 10 for the best breakfast every morning which was greatly missed after leaving for a tour of Italy

Great communication prior and during our stay. Top facilities & all the extra touches. Super soft towels, comfortable bed a goodnights sleep. Tom was very welcoming & attentive. Lovely well kept gardens, clean & homely house, breakfast was plentiful, lots of choice. Location was great for us visiting family nearby.

The most amazing accommodation in Carlow

I booked Avalon B&B for my Mother and to say she loved her time there would be an understatement! Absolutely exceptional service, the rooms are decorated to make it feel like home away from home and the breakfast was outstanding. The Avlon House was just what you'd expect from a quaint B&B, and more! It was exquisitely decorated for the holidays, from top to bottom and throughout! I found it so homey and cozy and it just made it feel like Christmas! I was living the real-life Hallmark movie... only without the hot romance with the local vet or doctor! LOL

Tom's hospitality, good attentions and willingness to make our stay even more enjoyable, variety breakfast options, comfortable and quiet rooms, plus his house is carefully decorated with cute Christmas objects, made us feel even more of the magic of the time. loved everything about this property…we had a twin room with shower en-suite that came equipped with little toiletries. There was also a little basket with items that you might have forgotten like toothbrush, razor etc. There was tea/coffee facilities, an alarm clock an even a booklet to give you info on the surrounding area an places to visit. Have to say the breakfast was exceptional an absolutely credit to Tom

About 15 minutes walk from town centre and the "Visual" (an art gallery and the centre of the festival in Carlow). This was a good exercise for me but might be a problem if you don't want to walk
