Norfolk Arms Hotel, Ringinglow

For info, I was travelling and made bookings for a group of us on motorcycles. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. I contacted the hotel a couple of times before arrival to check there were no large parties or functions as my friends and I wanted a quiet stay and the reception always answered and were very polite. The room overlooked the road and I thought it might be noisy but it wasn't so a quiet large room that suited my needs, parking was ample on a good surface (on motorbikes so this matters !). Breakfast and the food was good and at a very reasonable price. Overall a great stay.

A couple of my friends said their showers had poor pressure (mine was fine) and the room was warm (we are in the middle of a heatwave) with no air con.

Very friendly and, although I didn't have a dog with me, I was pleased to see how dog friendly they were

I admit that a good part of this problem was caused by my own misfortune. I am a bit of an insomniac, so sleeping is always a problem for me. However, I think that light penetration around the curtains from the courtyard lighting.caused me to have very little sleep, 2hrs maximum, after a long day's travel.

Broken toilet seat ,bathroom door didn't close Furniture marked and had its day,lacking electric sockets ,I was not informed to expect very loud party music until midnight. I had travelled to scatter my mums ashes and needed peaceful location. Distressing night due to excessive noise.
