Friendly Staff, Great Food and Clean, Comfy, Cosy Room

Plenty of parking, easy check to in. Room clean, cosy and comfy for a last minute stay. Fresh towels, shower gel dispenser, tea and coffee making facilities included. I called down to see if I could order food to the room ans I was alone, and they were more than happy to accommodate this. The food was amazing, staff so friendly and I Will definitely return.

Nothing to dislike. If I’m been picky, the room was a bit tired and could do with a refresh but this didn’t not impact the standards of the room or my stay.

The room was amazing as we was only there for 1 night. Spacious and well set out. The bathroom was well decorated. We had dinner which was so nice, nice food! The place felt good to eat in and the service was quick and efficient.

Best pub food & accommodation for miles.

We always stay at The Norfolk Arms when visiting Sheffield. Rooms,staff & food are great. Arrived after driving over in snow & enjoyed homemade tomato soup. Our room was ready early. Evening meal offered varied selection at very reasonable prices. Room had extra blankets & great coffee machine. Breakfast served from 7 am was helpful. Staff went out of their way to ensure a warm welcome. Best pub & accommodation for miles. 🙂

Warm helpful welcome. Lovely room FABULOUS BREAKFAST. And the view didn't disappoint either...

Bathroom was a TINY bit cold. But there was soo much hot water it didn't matter. TV was tiny and not near bed. But that was ok too

Great value for money!

The location was perfect for meetings between Sheffield and Derby. As a lone female traveller, I felt very safe and welcome by the lovely staff. The lady on the bar was exceptionally good at customer service and making me feel like a regular. The food in the bar was reasonably priced and a good selection. My room was a superior double and was spacious and clean with the added bonus of a coffee machine and extra blanket.

I found the bedroom very cold. This might just be that the radiator needs bleeding. But luckily there were adequate covers on the bed and I slept well.

The hotel (pub) was in a lovely quiet area. The room we had was a reasonable size and was well laid out. We had no complaints. We had an evening meal at the property. It was pretty good, though we were in the new extension which wasn't very cosey like the pub is. On our stay there was no wedding but if there was a wedding or party I can imagine it being rather noisy.

The bed could have been a little better but we slept well.

The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly, the menu choice was good.

The room was right above the function room and there was very loud live music until 11 on the second night of our stay. The room has no sound proofing it felt like we were in the function room with the floor vibrating and unable to hear the TV. When we complained that we weren’t warned, we were told that booking.com does warn that it can be noisy. Not sure this really covers it - this was an extreme level of noise.

Surprised by how welcome we felt and we will go back.

It’s a beautiful old building with traditional decor, run by a lovely family where people are passionate about looking after their guests and have time to explain exactly how things are cooked with such care in the kitchen, made for scratch with fresh ingredients , extremely conscious about allergies. Breakfast choice was excellent and beautifully cooked, The views are fabulous and plenty of parking. Downside is the ‘noise’ but we were more than happy to listen to the end of the jazz night coming up from somewhere underneath us. Basically we just felt ‘Welcome’!
