Excellent value for money

Excellent value for money! Very basic room (student accommodation) but the bed was comfy, it was ensuite and had WiFi and a TV. The reception is open 24 hours a day to buy coffee/tea/cold drinks, and there was a complimentary drink and croissant at breakfast. Ideal for an overnight stay! Will definitely use it again!

No kettle in the room but there is a shared kitchen.

Clean, simple. Perfect for a solo traveller. Beds a little small for a couple

Simple, but clean. Also I liked the social space on 2nd floor

I really liked the idea of the pool table and table tennis - but unfortunately the cloth on the pool table was ripped to shreds. They also had an arcade machine which I switched on, but it wasn’t working. A real shame as that stuff if in good upkeep would really set it apart

Great location, clean, cheap and beautiful views from my room on 4 th floor! Nice coffee downstairs. No oatmilk though?

My room key wasn’t working so i had to go all the way down from 4 th floor to get it replaced. The young guy in the reception didn’t even apologise. Good do with being more polite and customer focused. Felt like it was my fault key card was not working. Also no hairdryer! I read reviews before and brought my own. Very noisy people on my floor. During the night lots of noise, opening and closing doors with slamming, shouting in the corridor. Weren’t even students but older people! Same first thing in the morning. Obviously not hotels fault. Would start again!

Perfect economy overnighter.

Visiting my (adult) son who lives nearby but doesn't have room for us to stay overnight... Just needed a bed/shower/toilet for the night. The room was smaller than the Premier inn/Travelodge equivalent but the price reflects that. Small double bed (cosy), TV, desk, space to hang clothes and coats, plenty of plug and USB sockets and small but clean and tidy shower/toilet..... Then the added bonus of a coffee and pastry downstairs in the morning. We would definitely stay again when visiting.

Free parking but out on the adjacent street. Only one large towel provided despite the room being booked for 2 people..... Only small things really.

Secure and perfectly comfortable overnight stay

Just needed a room over night to go to a music gig but the extra touches of hot drinks and snacks available to buy 24/7 and the light breakfast were a bonus. As was being able to get a late night drink at the bar of the hotel next door! Being on a university campus made me feel secure.

Cosy!

Free coffee and pastry at breakfast was great! Rooms were cosy, ideal for a one night stay in Sheffield. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Room sizes are very small so not suitable for longer stays, but everything else was great!

Excellent value for £41:50 with free pastry and hot drink

Thank you very much indeed for placing me in a room away from the main smoking areas (entrance). Your constant battle to keep the hotel and facilitates such as kitchens, and laundry room clean and fresh smelling is incredibly appreciated. You all work extremely hard, particularly the housekeeping team who have the back breaking task of making the poorly designed built in beds. I love the added professional flourishes such as the folded loo roll ends into a point.

The following issues are NOT the fault of Jonas Hotel or the colleagues that work there; Other guests can sometimes be inconsiderate by letting doors slam, smoking in bedrooms, and leaving the kitchens in a mess.

Relaxing in Hallamshire.

Clean and tidy. Decent bed and shower. The hotel is situated within a 15-minute walk from the sporting event I attended. Also, easy to get to via Bus and walking when travelling to and from the Railway station.

Not a great experience and won’t be coming back

Uncomfortable beds, tiny rooms, staff laughed when I asked to borrow an umbrella. It was uni students arrival day and the marshalling staff were allowing students families to park in the hotel car park who weren’t staying at the hotel so we had to park on a verge on the grass. There was one croissant left at breakfast when we came down in the morning too. Overall not a great experience and won’t be coming back!

Location and room was cosy

I don't believe it was value for money. Its a uni dorm room very small lol but cosy. Pool table cloth was ripped not impressed! If your going to market as a hotel for £70 per night You should provide parking. So please be warned parking very limited and during the week you could get a ticket!!@ and more than one small coffee cup in the morning, yes that's right only allowed one small cup of coffee ☕️ Staff was very helpful 🙂 and nice 👍. Hotel was clean 👌

Nice and neat. Close to the Peak District, even closer to city centre. Nice little park nearby. Great place if you need some space or need to get some work done.

Student accommodation!

I didn't know the room is a student dorm. No basic hotel facilities in the room, e.g. hair dryer (need to borrow from reception). No kettle or a mug in the room. Breakfast is a cup of tea or coffee, and a croissant (the receptionist said "one per guest")...

Perfectly suited for a 1-2 night stay - bed is a narrow double but not as bad as some reviews state

Rooms are small but more than sufficient for a short stay - it is clearly inside the an old Student housing building but is converted well and for the price perfectly reasonable.

No aircon ANYWHERE so on a warm night you swelter! With windows open you hear the carpark below (if in a rear facing room) very loudly.

OK for the short term

This is very much a known quantity to me. I don't expect anything more than a bed, a private bathroom and a TV. This hotel gives you all in a small but acceptable package. It's not somewhere to choose for a long break, but for an overnight stay, it's fine.

The woman running around the 3rd floor at 3 am, shouting for a particular man, whose name escapes me, knocking on every door in doing so. The hotel isn't responsible, but it did spoil my night's sleep.

Rooms were slightly cramped, shower had no way of stopping water going everywhere and no way of cleaning it after. Bottle of vodka under bed from last customer. No way of cooling down the room and bed was very small for two people

Great location when you’re visiting students at Endcliffe village. Just right for one or two nights and one person. Good communal spaces (kitchen on each floor and relaxing areas on the ground floor).

Not worth the price—you're likely to get better rest at a cheaper hostel.

Listed: Complimentary coffee and pastry are provided in the morning. On-site café that is supposedly open 24/7 - did not test but I left at 5 AM and there was someone there. Private bathroom and shower in the room, which are clean and functional. Room layout is nice, with enough space for one person to spread out comfortably.

Listed: Located far from the city center. This hotel or the other accommodation near it regularly hosts parties or conferences that let out late at night—guests often gather outside talking loudly, making it hard to sleep (stayed up until 2AM one night due to this). Doors throughout the hotel are extremely heavy and slam loudly, audible from different floors and down the hallway. Guests smoke near the front entrance, and if your room faces that direction and you need the window open for ventilation, the smoke drifts in. The bathroom had a chemical odor that seeps into the room and hallway—unclear whether it’s from cleaning products or something else. The toilet emitted a high-pitched noise continuously during the stay. Room could use a fresh coat of paint and updated furniture. The elevator is very slow. There’s a barrier out front that prevents Ubers or food deliveries from reaching the entrance.

The place and the staff were great. Sleepy, quiet surroundings. Unfortunately, there are no dampers/ softeners on the doors upstairs, so slamming doors throughout the building from 5am made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. Please fix this. Sleep is an important part of life.

Perfect location within Endcliffe student accomodation

Location was perfect for my needs, when visiting a Sheffield uni student. The room was fine for lone traveller, but would be very cosy for a couple. (This was explained at time of booking) Breakfast was a pastry and tea or coffee.
