We booked this property for a business stay, and it exceeded expectations. The accommodation was spotless, well-maintained, and exactly as described, offering excellent value for money. The hosts were outstanding—responsive, professional, and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. The team was very impressed, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Highly recommended!

We were advised that contractors are not normally accepted and that our booking had "slipped through the net." Unfortunately, this is not the first time we have encountered this during bookings in Cornwall. In our experience working across the UK, Cornwall is the only area where we have repeatedly come across restrictions on contractors staying in holiday accommodation. We find this surprising, as a booking is a booking regardless of whether guests are travelling for leisure or work. Our team has an excellent track record with consistently positive reviews, and we always treat properties with respect. We are currently working on refurbishing and maintaining stores for a well-known high street retailer, helping to support local businesses and communities. While we respect that owners can choose their preferred guests, it is disappointing to feel that contractors are viewed differently despite our professional conduct and strong booking history.

Beautifully maintained apartments. Very well equipped. Close to the beach and easy to access supermarkets and attractions. It was very clean, and the gym was great.

Unfortunately, the management and level of service did not meet our expectations, particularly considering that we paid £1,556 for 7 days. Cleanliness and basic housekeeping were disappointing. The vacuum cleaner bag was already full when we arrived, and although I requested for it to be replaced/removed, this was never dealt with during our stay. There was only a vacuum cleaner provided, which made it difficult to properly maintain the apartment. The dishwasher also required salt, which I had to purchase myself. The hygiene was also disappointing. Although the beds themselves were comfortable, when I removed the pillowcase, I noticed yellow discolouration/staining on the pillow underneath. This made me question whether the pillows had been properly cleaned or replaced between guests. Communication around check-in was also disappointing. When making the booking, it was not made clear to us that checking in before 4pm would involve an additional charge. We were travelling from London/Oxford with two young children, including a 10-month-old baby, and I politely asked whether an earlier check-in could be accommodated. Unfortunately, the only option offered was to pay an additional fee. Overall, we were happy with the apartment itself and its location, but the management, cleanliness and customer service were not at the standard we expected for the price we paid. With better communication, proper basic cleaning facilities and more responsive management, the experience could have been much better. The management may already be aware of these issues, and I believe they can verify the condition of the property themselves. The actual level of cleanliness and hygiene during our stay was not consistent with the standard shown in the photographs in the listing.
