Glen Fern Lodge - Garden Apartment with Parking - Heart of Bournemouth Town Centre - Close to Beach - Darts and Table Football - Sleeps 11

Location was amazing, size was perfect lots of space , the games table and darts board were brilliant. Outside space was perfect. The beds were extremely comfortable. Nice clean towels, plenty of hot water.

A few things where a little worn eg fridge freezer has seem better days. Not enough toilet roll for 11 people.

Great activities for the kids, great outdoor space, lovely host Excellent facilities, just a few tweaks and easy fixes, including mopping the floor would make it better but overall lovely experience, 5-10 minute walk to centre and beach depending on your walking pace Plenty of space for our (on the larger side) dog outside, settled down very quickly when playing football with the kids Arcade on the same road, 30 second walk Bathroom was lovely, everything working and modern Kitchen was spacious and modern Just be mindful of all the ledges between rooms! Perfect for a large family staycation!

Floor was sticky, had to instruct family to only wear socks and shoes, after 10 minutes of walking around barefoot/socks, soles were black and sticky from dirt Fuses were missing in lamps and toaster, unusable Foosball table has seen better days, there's a tube hanging by a thread with loose tape holding it up. Bathroom shower glass screen not entirely sealed to bath, so can be easy for a child to accidentally slide off the bath edge, causing water to shower the floor also Easy fixes, nothing worthy of ruining your stay Kids and grandparents had a lovely experience.

Once you get into the property it is deceivingly spacious. Well stocked kitchen and inside was clean. If you want to be in the thick of loud lively busy area then the location is perfect.

Unfortunately the outside of the location leaves a lot to be desired including the garden with a previous guests cigarette butts all laying around. One of the bedrooms has a large hole in the wall. The bedding while looks clean is very cheap and not great to sleep in. Sadly with several party goers seeming to enjoy using the back fence as a urinal causing it to leak into the garden (yes we witnessed this) it means at times the garden has a bit of an unpleasant smell. We did politely request if it would be possible to check in a bit earlier as 4pm is quite late in the day there was absolutely no budging on this with a flat no which was disappointing. Sadly we wouldn't chose to stay here again.
