Branklyn Garden Cottage

A very big, comfortable bed. Access to the gardens. A quick walk into Perth along the riverside. I loved the traditional decor of the cottage and the maintaining of the original character. The house was spotlessly clean and nicely turned out.

I found the house a bit too cold for a winter stay. A lovely old building but with minimal glazing/insulation. The 5 p.m. check in was really late and meant hanging around for a couple of hours in the cold after a long journey, before having to move in or stuff in the dark hours. Not so good for winter stays.

The cottage was warm and cosy with immaculate bedding and comfortable beds. The kitchen was well equipped and the lounge had a comfy sofa and chairs. The location was ideal for visiting Perth and the surrounding area. The garden is a little piece of heaven, so beautiful. I particularly like the conscientious labelling of plants. The cafe staff and garden staff are the icing on the cake- wonderful- everyone was very kind and helpful.

A small comment: a larger ceramic oven dish would have been useful.

Very good location for Perth town centre. Just walk over the River Tay on the Railway bridge footpath. Gardens are beautiful and it is great to walk around after everyone has left.

Branklyn Garden is a treasure, a peaceful place just a walk over the bridge from Perth. To be able to stay in the cottage and be able to sit and walk in the garden anytime is just wonderful. The hosts and people working in the garden are friendly and welcoming. Beautiful furniture and decoration, quite modern bath, even the wifi is working. Thank you!
