Spacious good location.

Location one to my target areas. Spacious house that sleeps up to 7.

House had a bad smell of smoke and cannabis which should have been addressed before check in.Soap dispensers were all empty. Parking was an issue as neighbours used our parking and staff asked me to handle it which I did not like. Not my problem to solve. House needs some maintenance overall.

It was a shame the property was let down by the heating and the minor quibbles with the kitchen.

The location was excellent and ideal for exploring the Gower peninsular. The property was very roomy and there was plenty of space for the five of us. Good value for money

We never managed to get the heating sorted for the whole time we were there. The controls didn't work, the radiators were red hot, we couldn't turn them down. We contacted the property owner who said they had reset the thermostat but it made no difference. We contacted them again and then they said they had turned it down but in fact the heating went off and never came back on. We made do with two portable radiators. There was also only three forks - surprising when the property slept 7, only 4 mugs and one rack in the oven.

Nice and clean stay

I liked that the property offered many bedrooms and it was clean upon arrival, I really liked the dining table and the child's highchair. The bedding and all beds were made up and clean upon arrival. Loved that we had an issue and it was resolved quickly and staff was very friendly. There were lots of TV options like Netflix and bbc Iplayer and didn't have to sign in and remember logins. There wasn't any clutter or valuables that could get damaged Cleaning amenities.

I think that the kitchen needs some added utensils as they seemed to be very used or broken and some weren't clean or fit for purpose. One of the master bedrooms mattress was very uncomfortable and the fan is broken so it didn't function properly. I felt like some information would have been a nice addition about the local area ie attractions, where to eat etc.

Good location and the house is fine but it could have been so much better!

There had been some quite bad reviews of the property earlier in the summer so it was a relief that some of the criticisms turned out to be not that significant. The house was reasonably spacious with separate living room, dining room and kitchen as well as outside space. The beds were comfortable and the bedding very clean. The management company were very responsive when we contacted them for more bedding and towels (a mix up caused by my late change to the booking).

The kitchen was very light on utensils. The house could sleep 7, but you could hardly cook a meal for 7 due to the under provision of pots and pans and with 6 large plates and 4 forks it was hard for the household to eat that meal. It's really disappointing because an extra 50 quid could kit out the kitchen to a good standard. The downstairs toilet opens in to the dining room. The upstairs bathroom is extremely narrow. Both have been badly designed. The hot water does not give a constant stream particularly if someone turns on a tap elsewhere in the house. The outdoor space was nice to have but needed a clean (see photos). There was a rip in the downstairs carpet and the kitchen lino. A more thorough clean of the places not usually cleaned is in order. The wifi did not work when we arrived. They supplied a mobile router the next day but that was pretty rubbish. Towards the end of the week Virgin came and fixed the connection but wifi coverage throughout the house was poor and it really needs a wifi booster for the back of the house and for upstairs. And they didn't offer us a discount for not having proper wifi. They did however threaten us with a 25 pound charge if we didn't leave the house by 10.15 on the last day. So poor marks here to KG Management.

It fitted our needs and was clean.

It had all the beds and linens we needed and was clean and tidy. It was nice that there were some supplies like shampoo and body wash, and laundry detergent, also tea and coffee.

The Wifi was extremely intermittent and we couldn't get it most of the time. We also couldn't make the heating work even though it was pretty cold. The bathroom was tiny.

The property was disgusting and we did complain about it and asked for a full refund as we couldn’t actually stay in the

the property smelled of smoke and mould. there were cigarette ends all over the patio, mould on all the windows, thick dust on skirtings, sides etc all touch points were dirty or sticky. The toilet seat upstairs was broken.

Worst property and customer service ever experienced

unfortunately there wasn’t anything you could like - it smelt mouldy from the second you walk through the door, I have no idea why it’s called ‘River House’ as it is a mid terrace on the outskirts of Swansea

DO NOT STAY HERE Literally the worst property I have ever stayed in - I was charged £250 for two nights accommodation, but from the moment I arrived, I spent most of my time having to message them about how bad it was I could only stay for one night, broken beds, ripped carpets, lack of facilities, lights not working, if you want to give the kids a bath, only one tap can be used at a time, a heating system that doesn’t work, broken springs in the sofa, enough cutlery for 3 people? and a cooker, but absolutely no trays or anything you can cook on - and then there is the complete lack of customer service when you ask for help. When I reported my experience to booking.com, the company (KG Inspired Properties) insisted that I had been given an opportunity to leave and be provided a refund for the 2nd night, in reality they sent me a message via WhatsApp (that didn’t arrive until too late) giving me 53 minutes to get me, my wife and two very young children out of the property.. When I contacted them (when the message finally arrived) they simply stated that the offer had expired!! They could have easily have resolved this situation, they promised to drop items off at the property (light bulbs, cutlery, cooking trays) but they didn’t deliver on the promise - they could have refunded the 2nd night, knowing I hadn’t stayed, but refused to, despite KNOWING the state of the property - DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!
