Some extra electric heaters for each bedroom would be a benefit as the weather was wet and cold during our stay, but the log burner was great for downstairs.

A lovely place with plenty of room for a big family, very quiet and peaceful location, far away from pretty much everything so spot on for a countryside break! Rooms were comfy and plenty to do i.e. games and books, some areas in need of some TLC but hey it's a working farm so expect a few rough patches, doesn't deter from the charm of the house! Very helpful neighbors Kev and Camille were lovely and friendly.
I liked everything but as mentioned a few little areas where there is some wear and tear, wobbily floor boards etc. but pretty much expected in a big, rustic farmhouse!

The house location and the host were excellent.
The house seemed basically sound but however let everything down due to the many issues, but the remedies were so simple it was a shame they were not attended to. Eg the ground floor shower had a lot of black mould - a few days later treated with Cillet Bang the mould was gone and if anyone showered early the water pressurization unit woke most of the house, a door in the corridor/additional insulation would have helped this. In the 1st floor bedroom the curtain was hanging off the rail, a new end stop would have prevented this. Some of the twin rooms only had child suitable mattresses this should have been clear, the steps leading up to the garden had rotted and were unsafe to walk on a new wood sleeper or a simple infill of gravel would have cured this. The floor boards in the ground bedroom were very bouncy and cracked when walked on (and had fungus coming up along the skirting) - a whole wall of DVDs in this room was only accessible by climbing on the bed. Cupboard door in second kitchen hung skewed caused annoyance everytime I walked past, every time the freezer door was opened the squeaking was awful. Please give this lovely house some TLC.

We had a super stay and am massively grateful to the hosts who were available, helpful and able to allow us early entry. The house is lovely.
The facilities list didn’t include the gas barbecue which would have been useful to know about.
We ran out of hot water briefly in the shower in the evening.
Another shower would be useful.

Lovely, quirky farmhouse. Plenty of equipment. Nice and peaceful. The children loved the idea of being able to help themselves to fruit and veg from garden. They fell in love with chickens and collecting eggs every day for breakfast. Julian is a great host, very helpful and sorted out minor problems straight away. Sauna a great bonus. Log fire nice on a chilly evening. Highly recommend.
Downstairs shower needs a little attention. Downstairs bedroom door needs fixing. Freezer in back kitchen needs shelves.

Loved the house very spacious and loved the style
It was a little hard to find and there was a road closer that made it a little harder in the village

Such an amazing find. The farm house was spacious, well equipped and a lovely comfortable place to stay. The grounds were fantastic too. A great weekend had by all and would definitely stay again.
Nothing not to like.
