I loved the location. It was walking distance to Heavenly, Harrah's, and the restaurants and shops and the lake. We went in summer, but I can imagine how beautiful the gondola up the mountain would be with snow. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the surroundings were very nice and quiet. There was also an awesome Mexican restaurant close-by, like a 3-minute walk from our room. We plan on returning to South Lake Chalet by Heavenly this winter.
The bathroom sink area was kind of small. We did have an issue with the AC, but South Lake Chalet by Heavenly responded quickly and remedied it right away. One day the AC wouldn't get cold, and it remained sort of warm in our room in the afternoon. South Lake Chalet by Heavenly gifted us a $300 gift card for our inconvenience.

The chalet is centrally located near the beach, shopping, restaurants, the casino.. The center courtyard is beautiful and peaceful with trees and flowers and a water feature. The rooms were immaculate.

An excellent place to stay at Lake Tahoe, for the price I think these chalets give an unbeatable level of luxury, with plush fittings and toiletries provided throughout. Extremely well located near the lake and stateline attractions, with secure parking provided. Keyless entry was convenient, with management coordinating this promptly and were readily contactable when we had queries regarding the location of the beach voucher. Would not hesitate to stay again, as we did with friends or in a romantic setting.
Nothing to critique, the chalet is exactly as promised online. The kitchen does not feature a stove top so may not be ideal for cooking full meals but is in comfortable walking distance of many restaurants.

Cozy getaway. Super clean room and comfortable bed. Good location for both beach and shopping access. 3min walk to either.
