Great central location for hiking/skiing, shopping and restaurants, or to take day trips.

We'll be back!

South Lake Chalet is centrally and perfectly located to walk to Heavenly Village where there are so many shops and restaurants. It's also a short drive to other attractions and sites. Our unit was very clean, cute, and comfortable. There was plenty of space for our clothing and the kitchenette was well stocked and came in handy. We also loved the fireplace. We brought our pup with us and there was an area to take her out to relieve herself and complimentary "poop bags". We were also pleasantly surprised that for a room that was pet friendly. It did not smell like dog at all. We've stayed in other places where you could definitely tell. The customer service was also excellent. Our questions were answered quickly and the representatives were so nice. Easy check in and a code to get in, we like that much better than a card key. We would stay here again!

If we had to pick anything we didn't like, it was something very minor and not enough to take any points away. Our chain latch on the entry door was loose and came off and when we contacted customer service they were more than happy to come out that day to fix it. We didn't feel it was necessary though because we felt safe to not have to use it. The auto lock was enough.

Property was in a great location, bathroom was lovely.

The room appeared smaller than what I had imagined from photos, but it was ideal for us as we spent most of our time outdoors and exploring.

Great location & modern, clean suite stay

Easy check-in process all done digitally via text, great location near Heavenly Village so we left our car on site and walked mostly to go there for dining and gondola for tubing. EV charging stations next to dedicated parking spots for guests were great. Nice to have kitchenette and living area with separate room. Seemed like other folks had pets from seeing them, but didn't have any issue hearing much noise from other units. Didn't have any issues with the bedding, was pretty comfortable in my opinion with plenty of pillows. Will probably stay again on next visit to S Lake Tahoe. Fireplace was great as well for heating and ambience.

Will echo other reviews that the inside lighting is dim since they come from single floor lamp in living area and bedside lamps in bedroom since units are wired for overhead lighting from what I saw. One or two moments with Wi-Fi issues but otherwise was fine for supporting a 1.5 hour Zoom class.

Difficult door locking system. 10 digit code every time you enter and finicky deadbolt that had to be PERFECTLY aligned to work. Only streaming on t. v. (Some of us still like to watch live tv/news. ). And the tv was placed in a location that made it impossible to watch from any place but the bed.

"Early 70th B-day Celebration with Best Friend"

Location, we walked just about everywhere !! Unit was very clean, smelled good and fully stocked with essentials & extra goodies !! The fridge/ freezer was super cute !! Unlimited HOT water, plenty of towels, wonderful AC, all greatly appreciated !! Exceeded our expectations for what we paid. FREE parking right outside the door !! Felt very safe and secure staying here with our personal entry code !! Zipstay provided excellent customer service and Arielle was wonderful answering all of my questions !!

Location was great and the property was clean.

We registered with three adults. There were only two wash cloths and 4-5 towels. I sent an email asking about cleaning services and replacement towels and wash clothes and never received an answer. Later in the afternoon of the second day I asked the cleaning crew for three sets of towels and wash cloths which were provided. My assumption was the cleaning crew would provide clean towels and cloths on the third day. They never happened and my email was never answered.

Beautiful, comfortable, just perfect!

Loved the location, loved the decor, the size, the accommodations in the room, everything you might want was there. Beautifully redone with modern decor, quiet. Everything was perfect, we loved it and if ever need a South Shore accommodation for my husband and I again, close the Edgewood, we will definitely come back!

Location and clean bathroom

The room with no window was dark and damp. The door was a french door and it wasn't comfortable without putting curtains. The curtain is smaller than the door size, so we put some backpacks against the curtain. The sink in the bathroom was so small and got us wet. I felt like getting into a cave. Locking a door outside didn't work well. I think it works inconsistently and we need to spend time whenever we went out.

It was nicely located, quiet, clean, comfortable and had the little extras you cant get from an over priced hotel stay.

This is not what I didn’t like, more like an improvement. Inside the rooms were re-done and the building was updated. I wish they would update the property on the outside.
