Good stay close to gondola and HV

Good beds, warm room, 10 minute walk in ski boots to the gondola. For the money, a heckuva good deal.

A relaxed stay!

I really enjoyed my stay at Big Pines Mountain House in South Lake Tahoe. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made for a very relaxing experience. The in-room amenities were thoughtfully provided and added extra convenience to the stay. The location is another big plus close to the main attractions, dining, and shopping, while still offering a cozy mountain feel. Overall it is a great place to stay for comfort, convenience, and a pleasant Tahoe experience. I would definitely recommend it and would happily stay here again.

We reached the property at 10.30am and wanted to only park our car so we don’t have to pay for parking to go to gondola. However we were told we can check right then when check in was at 4. This was an excellent perk. Rooms were big. Good bed, good heating. Big washroom, microwave, fridge! It had it all. It’s 5mins walk to gondola And most shops and village walkable

The parking area had black ice and people were slipping and falling. It would be great if cleaned

Worst motel ever

It was very loud you could hear people talking in the rooms next to you. You could hear everytime someone walked up stairs. The bed was like a rock. I left a day early and did not get a refund. Just now called to try to get it again the man on the phone was very rude he hung up on me i dont recomend this place its very bad.

Window does not close completely leaving a small gap which lets in the cold air outside. In the winter, it is very cold by the window even with the heater on.

Bad experience

Nothing

There was no hot water. I couldn’t even take a shower the night I booked it or in the morning because the waster was cold. I asked them to come check and they said they couldn’t until Monday and then said everything worked after I had left and it did not. There was a huge hole in the bed.

This was our second year staying in Tahoe … From check in to check out, everything was great! … The location is quiet, close to all of the main South Lake Tahoe attractions and within a 10-minute walk to the lake. … Make sure to grab a lake voucher from the front desk so you don’t pay full price to have access to the beach.

The location is absolutely perfect, just a short walk to Heavenly Village, the Gondola, and the casinos—you truly can park your car and forget about it. Our room was cozy and had everything we needed, including a microwave and mini-fridge. For the price, this motel is a great value and the ideal base camp for a fun Tahoe adventure!

The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, with everything I needed for a cozy stay. The bed was comfy, the Wi-Fi worked great, and I loved having a mini-fridge and microwave. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, Big Pines Mountain House is a fantastic value for the area — clean, comfortable, and close to everything. I’ll definitely be coming back on my next Tahoe trip!

I had a wonderful experience at Big Pine Mountain House! The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable — exactly what you want after a day exploring Lake Tahoe. The bed was cozy, the bathroom spotless, and I really appreciated the little touches like a fridge and microwave for convenience.

Good staff, nice and quiet, decent rooms.

When we arrived we were bummed to find that out room was on the second floor, but that was our fault for not specifying that we wanted a down stairs room. Our room didn't have a bath tub so I called the office and the next day and for the rest of our stay they put us in a room downstairs with a king bed and a bathtub. Everything in the room worked (tv, microwave, remote control, fridge, iron and ironing board and hairdryer). The staff was friendly and on top of anything else that we needed (extra pillows, towels and etc.) we asked and they brought it right away. We had a pleasant stay once we changed rooms. The casinos were nearby as well as restaurants and other stores. Good location. Parking was fine. At night it was nice and quiet. Overall it was a good experience. I would recommend it to others. They also have a laundry room there, the washer and dryer worked good .

The room floor was a bit dirty, turned the bottom of my white socks dirty
