The Jeffrey Hotel

We stayed here for several days but in different rooms. Our first room was a smaller 1 King Bed. The small bathroom wasn't great here to be honest but doable since it is an older hotel. We didn't have any space on the sink to put anything. There were also no hooks to hang anything like wet towels. It's 2 stories and stairs which are older as well. I don't believe there is an elevator but I could be wrong. The rooms we had were on the 2nd floor and on both ends so it was pretty quiet all around. We had a small fireplace in the 1st room and a larger one in the 2nd room, which I loved. To be honest, the whole town is filled with hotels just like this, older but renovated. I was pretty happy there, no real complaints other than hooks in the bathroom please!! We didn't do housekeeping but the overall place was very clean. No old rugs but clean wood or laminate wood floors. The hotel is in walking distance to either the beach or the business / casino centers, literally less than a 10 min walk. But the beach is restricted and you need to pay to get to it unless you go around the lake and find a free beach. Some hotels include beach passes but not this one. There's lots of good places to eat within walking distance and a Target for pharmacy or grocery needs. It's a fun town but everything closes down by 10PM except the casinos. As for the staff, you handle everything over the phone or online. You self check in and if there are any issues, you contact them. There is a cleaning staff at the hotel but we only needed them to fix our fireplace. Our 2nd unit was lovely, it was a larger 2 Queen Beds with a kitchenette of toaster, microwave, fridge, dining table and window outside and the bathroom had a tub and much larger sink for our stuff. I very much liked this room but again, no towel hooks in the bathroom and there was plenty of room for them. The staff on the phone we dealt with were very professional and were great with some special situations we incurred. They alone made the trip great but over all, we would easily stay at The Jeffrey again. Their prices were very reasonable as well compared to the other hotels. Definitely recommend.

Most definitely a ski resort. Staff aren’t on site, so if you need something you have to call the number on the front door. Contactless check in and out but the beds were really nice and it was a quiet experience

No reception was a first for us . Check in via a text message which I didn’t receive but got sorted out after a phone call. Cozy room but gas heater wouldn’t warm the room so we requested to move . Room next door smelt a bit weird. Ended up in room 9 . Bigger room with great heating. Would I stay again. Maybe not as I do like receptions . I did know this when booking

This place offers outstanding value with a prime location that makes exploring easy. Facilities are well maintained, and the shopping and amenities nearby are fantastic. Highly recommend The Jeffrey for anyone looking to enjoy their stay in Tahoe.
