The property has three bedrooms; a super-king-size with en-suite shower room, a super-king-size with zip/link feature and a twin, sleeping six guests. There is a family bathroom, a cloakroom, a kitchen/diner, separate dining room with woodburning stove and two sitting rooms, one of which has a woodburning stove. Outside there is off-road parking for three cars, as well as an enclosed patio and lawned garden with a swing seat and a picnic bench. 1 Cherry Tree Cottage is a lovely property for a holiday exploring the Lake District. One-well behaved dog welcome at an additional charge of 25 GBP.
Amenities: Oil central heating with 2 x woodburning stove. Electric oven with induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Playstation, TV and WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off-road parking for 3 cars. Garage with bike storage. Rear patio with chair swing and lawn with picnic bench. One well-behaved pet welcome (no puppies). Sorry, no smoking. Shop 3 miles, pub 0.6 miles. Note: There is a good housekeeping bond of £150. Note: Check-in time is 5pm, check-out is 9am. This town was the home of writer Norman Nicholson, who has a stained glass window in St. George's Church dedicated to his memory. Nearby Haverigg offers a Blue Flag beach, a restored lighthouse and children's adventure play areas. Other attractions in the region include Black Combe for walks with stunning views and Sandscale Haws, a National Nature Reserve with an outstanding plethora of wildlife. Further afield, the towns and villages of Grizedale, Ambleside and Windermere are easily accessible.
