Great location for walking in the valley, great pub next door. One to definitely return to. Property well equipped with everything that you would need.

Fabulous location!

Very clean, comfortable and warm Lodge. Very good communication with the owner (specially about advice on how to avoid Hardknot Pass to get there😅). The location is just fabulous! Mountain and waterfall view. What more can you ask! Nice pub next door.

It was just the right size for a small getaway. We had a double bed, bunk beds and I think a sofa bed too so plenty of options to sleep on.

The lights could have been on outside when we arrived as it was dark in the car park/ outside the lodges

Love! Middle of nowhere.

Amazing stay, in the middle of no where surrounded by hills, grass and cows. The escape we wanted! The room was a good size (family of 5) beds were comfortable, amenities were basic but all You needed. The owner was super helpful and on hand for any questions. Loved every minute of our stay - the hikes/walks were stunning. Local pub next door if you’re not equipped for bbqs. Note* do bring everything because there aren’t any shops for miles! WiFi only worked in the room, no signal outside.

The drive! Haha! I think that has to be the scariest drive I have ever done in my life. The height and steepness of the hills is scary def take the country lanes, listen to the advise of the owner when she sends the directions. Hahaha!!

Cosy, comfortable, and memorable for the kids. Exceptional views to wake up to, and totally silent nights. The location would make it an excellent hub for a weekend of fell walking. We will likely stay again.

Woolpack Farm

Set up is lovely. Dog friendly without additional charges for pets added. The views from the accommodation were very scenic, beautiful mountains all around. Accommodation was very clean and was well cared for. We stayed in a studio that had a sofa bed, double bed, and bunkbeds. A small amount of tea bags, coffee, and sugar were provided together with crockery and cutlery. Bedding was pristine. The bathroom was also very clean, which is important to us. There's a nice decking balcony at the front, lovely for eating/chilling. Hosts were so nice, they were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. They provided information about the area, where to visit etc. Lovely site, very short walk to a pub where meals were served throughout the day. There's a shared fire pit on the lawn at the front, ample parking, lovely garden, with space to walk the dogs. Very pretty setting. Lovely walks nearby and places to cold water swim. We enjoyed our stay there, quiet and relaxing.

There are no shops nearby, so you would need to remember to bring everything with you.

Great location. difficult access due to single track roads but well worth. clean accommodation. had everything needed. clean compact and pretty. idyllic

perhaps a toaster in room. not sure if fire safety would allow though. some lighting outside the pods if you were to arrive late at night. may be sensor lights to avoid disturbance to rest.

I am aware we were there for a rare mini heatwave, the room was hot but the fridge belted out a lot of heat too which made the room uncomfortable and needed turning off. This is probably a benefit rather than hindrance most of the year. Mattresses were slightly uncomfortable but fine after a long day.

Beautiful spot, ideally located near Scafell Pike

The location was ideal. We travelled for my 50th to climb Scafell Pike. There is a pub/restaurant right next door. The setting was beautiful. Facilities ideal for our family. Communication from the owner was 10/10 from start to finish.

A weekend full of memories, a great location and amazing terrace for family time.

Loved the space, parking was handy, it was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom lovely and clean with a heated towel rail. It’s a great location and the information shared before we arrived was certainly very welcomed. There was limited useful items (bottle opener etc) but this was explained in advance so I packed what I needed.

The WiFi only worked sat on the deck, keeping in touch when away with the kids is really important, also they wanted to chill and watch movies after long walks but could watch anything in the studio, there were lots of wasps on the deck so this limited the time it was comfortable to sit out. The heating must have been on a timer and our wet clothes didn’t dry for the next day walk, so we had soggy shoes.

Incredible stay!

I stayed in one of the pods. Location is amazing. It's quiet and peaceful. View was beautiful and there's a stream running along the wall to listen to. The pod is spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a good size. I txt for a wood parcel for the log burner which was dropped straight off and I had enough for a fire all night! Pub next door which is ideal! I will definitely be staying again and for the price it was well worth it!

Perfect pod in a perfect location.

Lovely cosy camping pod - spotlessly clean with a comfy bed and loads of hot water for showers. The location is beautiful with gorgeous walks from the door. Caroline was really helpful and really quick to reply to any messages, and as a solo female traveller I felt very safe and secure.

Fantastic time.

Very cozy place to relax. Very nice service. Beautifully situated place. Just watch out for Google maps, which can choose an extremely demanding access route for you. Breathtaking views, but adrenaline level at the highest level. On the way back we took a different route ;-). I RECOMMEND.

Pod was just what we needed. Very clean, comfortable. 2 adults 2 kids 1 large dog. No issues.

Woolpack farm do not offer food service however. There are several food places very nearby. We chose next door at The Woolpack Inn and this was outstanding for tea on the nighttime and then breakfast in the morning. Relaxed atmosphere and a 30 second walk from Woolpack Farm. We had a large mastiff dog with us and he was very welcome. Plenty room in accommodation for his very large bed, there is also storage in the bathroom for extra hiking bags etc if needed. Overall a cheap stay in an amazing location. Fell runners/hikers dream.

Having no phone signal and I didn’t get my room or keys till 1930 when my check in was 1500… Lucky there was pub next door so I could watch Newcastle win the cup final… But apart from that the owner was lovely kind respectful woman 🥰👌🏻
