A bit dischuffed.
The bathrooms were modern and clean apart from the radiator in the downstairs bathroom which has started to rust.
The owner didn't get back to me when I left a message to enquire about the front patio door. The front patio door had no key. The gas hob would not stay lit on some of the rings. The advertised PS3 didn't work.

A good value property enabling us to explore the area
The location and ability to walk in the local area particularly around the nature reserve. The front balcony was a great place to sit in the evening sunshine and take in the glorious views. We were blessed with brilliant weather.
On arrival we were a little disappointed to see the property was not facing the estuary it looks on the details as if it is. The property would benefit from a deep clean. Three cooker rings would not light and the extractor fan didn’t work. As the rings are gas this could be dangerous. We reported this to the host before we left and they confirmed this would be attended to before the next guests arrived. The ground floor rooms suffer from poor ventilation and some dampness but I guess this is really the design of the property. As previous guests mentioned there was a pervading smell of curry in the lounge area but we couldn’t determine where this was from. The bathroom towel rails didn’t work meaning the bathroom upstairs was very chilly. Despite this we had a great five days and the price was brilliant so thank you.

We had a good and enjoyable time
There is plenty of room, spacious. Generally a good location also for trips around coastal region and Lake District N.P. The interior benefits from an individual Charme, though some pieces of furniture are a bit dated, but that was OK.
ome of the windows—especially the window seals—and also the doors require a bit more attention and care, or even replacement or renovation. The washing machine and dryer are housed in a cupboard, which is not ideal and encourages mold growth, particularly if the cupboard is kept closed and the filling drawers are also left shut. Initial mold has already appeared, even though the appliances are almost new. The same applies to the bathrooms, and in particular the lower bathroom: here, too, mold is a problem, especially since the joints are not properly finished and sealed with silicone, but are simply covered over, which may look nice but unfortunately means that water can seep behind the coverings and cannot dry out properly.

Lovely little homestay
Beautiful location near the beach and lovely views. Property was clean and tidy. The two larger bedrooms were good sizes and the bedroom on the top floor was especially lovely. Good communication from the host about an issue with a light fitting, which was no problem at all. The dog friendly elements were great!
The beds and sofas/seats were quite uncomfortable, would be fine for 1-2 nights but started to affect us after that. Not sure where it came from, but there was a distinct smell of spices when we arrived and we had to purchase air fresheners to try to get rid of it. There was a bit of loudness with crowds hovering from the cricket club next door. This didn't affect us but might not be ideal for families with younger children. Couldn't find an iron or dust pan and brush.
