Lovely place for a quiet staycation

Nice cosy caravan near a lovely lake! Well equipped for a long weekend away. Sofa and beds were comfy! Kitchen was well equipped and we found it easy to prepare meals. The Bar/Cafe on site had a nice atmosphere with a lovely view, good selection of both food and drink. Lovely walks nearby!

Would recommend bringing your own pans! But apart from that our stay was perfect

Very unsafe steps damaged back and owner does not reply to messages or pictures or videos sent

So I have tried to contact the owner off this caravan since are stay via the watts app number provided. As on arrival I went to go in the caravan and the steps going in tipped up on my and hurt my back badly. This then made it so the rest of the holiday was done for me .as I had damaged my back bad as they were not secure to the ground or van. On coming out of the caravan the steps yet again tipped up when I held the rail . I do have issues with my mobility.so I need to use a rail so putting any light pressure and it tip .to the side or backwards. Other caravan owners so this and could not believe how dangerous it was. Also the bed you could feel every spring .so having a bad back I had to sleep on the fitted sofa for a week.nit as a bed as a sofa . There was also issues with pillow to old ones shoved into one case. The duvet see through. Pan handle got very hot. NO SAFETY IN THIS VAN .

Practically perfect in every way

Would have been nice to have had information on recycling our refuse and local ammeneties but overall it was great and our grandchildren had a fabulous time

Peaceful & Beautiful

It was a beautiful location and the caravan was really clean , we thoroughly enjoyed it. The beach is literally around the corner, there is also a ski bar with 3 mins walking. There was a cafe on the beach cliff, that did amazing sandwiches. The Carvan was in a quite spot, didn't really here any noise and we were able to use our mobile as a hot spot. We would definitely visit again 🙂

Only thing that would have made it better was a proper table and chairs with parasol, as it can be very sunny in the morning and on an evening and would be nice to be able to do a bbq outside. Otherwise, it really was a great place to stay and in a perfect location.

Disappointing trip

After a 6 and a half hour journey,we where quickly disappointed and frustrated.After arriving we saw may issues with the main one being no gas,so absolutely no heat,no hot water and no way of cooking.The owner made no attempt to rectify the problem and just replied with half arse answers with no real help.We had no way to dry our clothes after the rain and no way to make any hot food.By the most disappointing trip ,left early will not recomend anyone to stay in this horrible caravan.

Superb

The caravan was lovely and clean with all the luxuries of home. Situated in Port Haverigg with excellent walks around the park.

There was no amenities suitable for teenagers except water sports.

Brilliant little get away with kids

Booked for a short break with my sister and our small children (from 18months - 7yrs), the caravan was perfect for our needs, clean and comfortable. We also arrived a little bit early it was already cleaned and we were allowed to gain access to the caravan. The facilities were great. There was a water sports centre which the children really enjoyed and a bar that also sold food, which was really tasty and great value for money. There was also a ice cream parlour close by, which serried some of the best ice cream I've ever had! Close to many walks and nature reserves if you wanted to get off site. There is also a brilliant beach just next to the site, which we had pretty much to ourselves even in half term! Would absolutely stay again, perfect for a family holiday.

practical in a beautiful location, but the outside of the caravan needs to be better maintained.

good location, clean inside and general well kept.

The outside of the property was unkept, the shower didn’t drain quickly enough when showering, the stairs up to the caravan feel loose and the side of the caravan has green on the outside walls which doesn’t look the most inviting when you arrive at the caravan.

it was really nice, clean and on very good location.

didn’t had most useful thing in it such as tea coffee stuff and hand wash we had to go for shopping straight away when we reached there. And it has got only one toilet which is not more than enough for 6 people.

The park itself is lovely, in a beautiful location, but the water issues hampered our break.

The van itself was spacious and comfortable.

There was no running water when we arrived. This wasn't rectified until mid afternoon the next day. Not good enough as we were leaving the following morning. Getting a response from the owner of the van proved difficult.

Bree & Family

It was very peaceful & quiet. The caravan was fully equipped & very clean. Also the lake was about a 2 - 5 minute walk away. It's the kind of place you'd come to when you want to unwind. The residents were all so friendly & pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

The location was fantastic rhe beach was 5 mins away, the caravan was spacious

Everytime we used the oven the smoke alarn went off even with all the windows open, it meant one of us had to stand underneath and keep silencing the alarm
