Serious healthy and safety hazard - please read my review

The pros and cons are well documented by other reviewers below. Location is both a pro and con - given great proxmity to train station vs general dodgyness of the area. The apartment itself was quite spacious although quite noisy from outside noise and upstairs neighbour. Please read further below

This was honestly one of the most worst / stressful experiences I’ve ever had in accommodation. Picture this - you’re on holiday, you close your bedroom door for the night and you’re suddenly trapped / stuck inside. The bedroom door had no handle on the inside. We didn’t know this (and why would you?), there was no sign anywhere in the accommodation which either warn/said not to close the bedroom door. We ended up trapping ourselves when we closed the bedroom door at night. The panic and anxiety this caused was unbelievable. You’re on holiday — the last thing you expect is to be trapped in a room. No one should ever have to check whether a door handle exists before closing a door. If there had been a fire or any kind of emergency, this could have been genuinely life threatening. I can’t stop thinking about how dangerous this would be for parents — imagine closing the door and being locked in while your baby or child is in another room. That thought alone is terrifying. We lost time, sleep, and the next day we missed our connecting train because disruption. It completely ruined what should have been a straightforward stay. What made the situation worse was the owner’s response. When we raised the issue, the owner attempted to deflect responsibility, including blaming us for simply closing the bedroom door?? We were also made to feel that we had caused him inconvenience by calling at around 1am — despite the fact that we were locked inside a room in his property because it could not be opened from the inside. We have filled an official complaint on booking.com. Please think very carefully before booking.

Good value and conveniently located apartment.

The apartment was spacious and very clean. It suited us perfectly for a two day stay. Being located only a five minute walk from the Eurostar terminal was also a bonus when we had to check in at 7am.

We loved visiting Brussels and had a lovely home there but didn't like the train area.

The inside space is lovely - large and spacious and well decorated and well furnished. The access to and from the train station is exceptional.

The neighborhood is not well maintained and the building itself (stairs, entry way) are dirty and in need of refreshing. It was disconcerting to go outside at first because of this but we adjusted our expectations. We did find a lack of good restaurants nearby - had to walk or take a train/metro to get to better restaurant areas. That was disappointing.

Suitable for our overnight stay in Belgium

We liked the location - a quick walk away from the train station. We also liked how spacious the room was and its overall clean appearance.

When we first arrived, the sofa couch had an odd smell to it.

Fantastic stay in central Brussels

Beautiful apartment, light, airy and very comfortable, loved the high ceilings and huge windows. Very close to the station so transport was easy but also close enough to walk into the city centre. Lovely boulangeries/patisseries nearby.

A wall fixing for the shower would be handy, also the hairdryer didn't get very hot even on the highest setting but minor issues only.

A Cosy Haven Steps from Gare du Midi

Arriving at the comfort of this apartment after dragging our luggage in the rain was such a relief! Located just a 2-minute walk from Gare du Midi, it was incredibly convenient and easy to find. The host, Lisa, provided clear instructions for accessing the keys, and everything else related, making the check-in process seamless. The apartment itself was beautiful, cosy, and thoughtfully equipped with all the necessities. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, which was a big plus. It truly felt like a home away from home and was the perfect retreat after a long day of travel. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for comfort and convenience in the area!

Spacious, comfortable and convenient apartment but needs some maintenance work.

The location was excellent, very close to Gare Du Midi. The apartment was very spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. Access was very easy. It was very quiet.

Some maintenance is required. Door off kitchen cupboard, some light bulbs not working, toilet seat very loose, balcony door did not close properly. Shower arrangement quite poor. And couldn’t get shower/bath valve to work properly in order to have a bath.

Poor, but close to station

It was clean and comfortable.

The doors were very hard to unlock, the front door handle fell off. You could only shower if you held the hose or run a bath through the hose. The location is only a few minutes walk from the brussels midi station, but the location is scruffy and smelly. We were due to go back here at the end of our trip but cancelled and booked somewhere else.

Lovely apartment but there was cold water and it wasn’t the best location for us.

The property was light and airy, it felt clean inside and the beds were very comfortable. The amenities (tele, towels, toilet paper, coffee pods) were good and a thoughtful touch.

There was not hot water and we didn’t get any hot water throughout the weekend. We were a group of young 20 y/o females and we didn’t feel safe on the road the apartment is on.

Great apartament but taking care of the location

The apartment has everything you need, plenty of space, everything needed in the kitchen, comfy beds and great bathroom. They had the detail of leaving us in the fridge several local beers and a bottle of water. Well located if you are going to take the train to move around Belgium.

The location as it is close to a secondary train station in a big city is kind of weird, during the day no problem at all. During the night you can feel uncomfortable and see weird/dangerous people. For this reason I wouldn’t recommend this apartment to families or people who feel fear easily. The apartment itself is safe, but the streets around it does not seem at all.

Gorgeous place and so easy!

We used this apartment as a stop for the next day’s train to Bruges and it is perfect for that. You can practically see the gate from leaving the station!! The key safe and getting in was easy enough and you’re welcomed by a huge flat, the ceilings are so high and the decor is gorgeous…we felt it was a waste for just one night as we arrived late and checked out at 10am so we’ll be back.

The only thing is an overhead shower would’ve been lovely.

Great place, great price and clean

Great apartment that is large and equipped with a full kitchen. Separate bedroom and new sofa couch. It felt secure. Good location next to Midi station but a 25mins walk to Grand Place which is where you spend most of your time in Brussels. Would definitely stay again.

Apartment is in a great location, one block away from Brussels Station which was very convenient for us. The apartment was clean, big and beautiful. It had a few things in the kitchen (like cooking oil, salt, sugar, coffee..), I thought it was awesome because you don’t have to buy everything if you want to make breakfast.

Spacious apartment, close to the train station so also close to a aupermarket and caffees, restaurants. Nicely decorated, has all the amenities needed. I think it is a great place to stau in for 2 people

I don’t think this is a proper place for a group of 4. The sofa turns into a bed but it is not comfortable to sleep on it. Maybe for a day as we stayed it was fine but you cannot really consider it a sleeping place. The shower was making a weird loud noise, so for a group of 4 you would have to be careful with the hour you are taking the shower as you might end up disturbing someone.

The property was spotless! The host arranged the apartment in a way that it made you feel like home, basically nothing was missing, from a coffee machine to a steamer to an iron everything you can imagine. I will definitely visit again!

Nothing. nightmare

Outer door lock was broken and was not opening had to call neighbours from upstairs at 11 PM to open the door. There were so many mosquitos and my son was swollen.

Nice apartment, the master bed is comfy, kitchen with nespresso.

- You can't leave backpacks before check-in. - Communication with the host only via booking messenger. She responds with the delay. On any request, constantly refers to some cleaning lady like I have nothing to do with it. So, in case of any problem, you are just on your own. - The sofa-bed is terrible with unironed sheets (wasn't sure if they were clean).
