Rent a Flat - Bruxelles

The cleaners keep this apart very clean. The apartment has a working lift. The apartment is spacious. Exactly as shown in pics. The bus stop is on the same street. Buses 50 and 96 are the ones we used frequently. The two complimentary water bottles were a nice touch. The host let us in 15 minutes early upon check-in. It's very noisy outside however, you don't hear any noise in the bedroom which is at the back.

The host doesn't respond to all messages. Communication is difficult. The area has no grocery stores or restaurants within walking distance. The dishwasher doesn't work. There is no washing machine. No smart TV, either. The bed is UNCOMFORTABLE. The worst mattress we have ever encountered during our many travels. Yikes. The actual bed frame feels like it's going to break &that your mattress will fall to the ground. The mattress sinks into the middle so you can't sleep on your own side of the bed. The worst sleep. It's not too bad if 1 person is in bed as you can sleep in the middle. Hubby had to sleep on the couch. There's no curtain in the bathroom, so we hung a baby blanket to cover the window. Your reflection in the mirror is visible through the window. Skimpy on the toilet paper and toiletries. 3 tiny bottles 40ml bottles were left for two of us as shampoo and body wash combo for us to use for 4 days. 1.5 toilet paper rolls provided. No towel racks or hooks to hang your towel up.

Simple, functional flat in a practical location between Gare du Midi and St Gilles. Quite new furniture with the basic needs - good bed, couch, shower, kitchen. The long stretched layout makes it feel big.

There was a strong food smell when we arrived (not from outside) which wasn't easy to get rid of. We were surprised about the first floor - from the ad the impression was it would be higher up - so no view and a bit dull impression (in the back). Balcony stool broken, coffee machine leaking - a bit surprising for a relatively new place.

A beautiful, clean, and spacious apartment, equipped with everything you need. Nice balcony, easy key pickup, and perfect communication with the owner.

shower drain was completly blocked when I arrived, impossible to shower. putting this in the positive because I sent a note to the property and they sent someone to fix next day. So point for that, too bad the smell after they fixed was unbearable and I had to leave the apartment with all windowns open and come back hours later to still feel the very bad smell from the sweage.

coming back late at night felt very unsafe with drunk and drugged people fighting in the street. door of the bedroom does not close. kitchen need tools, there's not enough for basic cooking.
