The hosts, Gill and Wayne, were extremely welcoming, friendly, and thoughtful and went beyond the call of duty. Our room was large, attractively decorated, and had very comfortable beds.The nearby private bathroom was clean with a good, spacious shower unit. Breakfast was generous and tasty with many different foods offered, and the village of Chailland was pretty, with a church, a few shops and cafés, and many old stone cottages. There was a small river just near the house, where people were fishing. A wonderful, restful break.

Room with a view

The room was absolutely beautiful, light, airy with lovely decor. The en-suite had a big generous shower and plenty of hot water. Jill and Wayne were really lovely and couldn't do enough to ensure we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend Room with a View.

Lack of Restaurant, cafe or shop. Hotel and Restaurant almost opposite was being refurbished and was closed. Once reopened it will be fine.

Exceptional

The location is very peaceful and the property is very secure. The rooms are freshly decorated and very modern and comfortable in a traditional setting. The food served at dinner was exceptionally good, top class restaurant quality. The other guests spoke no English but we managed a very pleasant and civilised dinner with Kristal helping out with translation.

Adorable small village and a great base for exploring the region. The hotel/ bed and breakfast is comfortable and welcoming. It was easy to park and our pet was welcome. We slept extremely well!

English breakfast! Need I say more... Very friendly and helpfull owners, big room, classicly decorated, we could use living and private terrace, very kind to our dog. We felt warmly welcome

Central village location in a very picturesque area, lovely spacious room, Wayne and Gill were perfect hosts and always attentive and go the extra mile to make you feel welcome!!!! We will be back

Amazing hosts. They made us feel very welcome and were extremely helpful and accomodating. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends, family and all who are visiting this beautiful village. The breakfasts were wonderful and the room spacious with an outstanding view out over the village square and river.

Emplacement au top. Hôtes très attentifs à notre bien-être et très sympathiques. La chambre est vraiment super et tout était de très bonne qualité (draps, douche etc...). Si vous voulez dormir à Chailland n'hésitez pas.
