It’s a lovely place, the food is very good.

The room was very comfortable, the hosts were very friendly

The pillows were really very hard and uncomfortable. The road is very narrow to get to the house, luckily no one was coming from the opposite direction.

Charming quaint boutique hotel set on a magical vineyard

Beautiful setting and incredibly friendly staff. We were only there one night but you felt immediately at piece. Small property with only 7 rooms which felt intimate and nice. I think we were the only guests with teenage kids (or any kids for that matter) but other guests were kind and the staff was very welcoming. Bonus that they make their own wines which you can buy while there. Breakfast in the morning was amazing with homemade baked goods and a full menu of options.

Nothing. Absolutely perfect and quaint stop. Would be a great place for a weekend trip with a spouse or partner and ideal spot to explore the surrounding wine country. It’s also only 15 minutes to the Italian coast.

A stunning vineyard retreat and exquisite culinary experience

Gorgeous property, lovely staff and excellent food and drinks. Also exceptional value - cocktails and wine were particularly good prices. Lovely for a day around the pool, particularly before or after a flight from Trieste as it is so close to the airport. Dinner and breakfast were both incredible quality.

Room was immaculate and beautifully decorated. Breakfast well presented. Beautifully situated in the vines.

Not easy to find, even with Satnav. We arrived on a Sunday evening after a long tiring drive from Dubrovnik unable to access the hotel . Cars blocking the near access drive. To find an "Event" in the adjoining field with extremely loud music. Couldn't find anyone on reception for over 20 mins. No restaurant or bar open. The young man we finally tracked down offered to cook bar food for us. By this time we were so exhausted and frustrated we shut the shutters and blinds and went to bed. Even with double glazing we could still hear/ feel the music! In his defence, the young man apologised to us and gave me a complimentary wine when we left. He did all he could to help but it was too late, our dream peaceful evening in the boutique hotel in the vines was shattered. Sorry.

Lovely f you seek quiteness and enjoy a couple of days at the pool.

Room was small but very clean and had a good bed and bathroom. The pool had a nice view and was accessible whole day. Breakfast was very good and located in the wine yard. Portopiccolo near by is great to have diner. Also visit to Trieste is recommended.

Unfortunatly the restaurant was not open on the days we where there. The electric charger for the car is 4 euro per hour? You don't know how fast it will charge, so we didn't use it.

Loved it

We absolutely loved it. The hotel is very pretty, the staff is so friendly. I absolutely loved the breakfast that was served outside. The pool was very nice. We had dinner one night which was delicious. The room was clean and spacious. Even though it felt like you are away from everything in a really tranquil environment it was only a some minute drive to restaurants. We really loved it and would definitely return

All in all, we loved our stay and would recomend Cardo to anyone. :)

We loved the Vitovska room with the cute little terrase, the room and the bathroom were big enough. We enjoyed the enviroment and the nature, it's excellent if you want to relax. We tried the Malvasia wine which is absolute delicious. We used the spa (it cost 25 euros per person for four hours) and it is definitelly worth it. And for breakfast, you can choose what to eat from the menu, the choice isn't big, but products are delicious and homemade.

Spa had lots of hairs in the one of the showers, the air condition in the room wasn't working, cold air didn't come out at all, the wifi signal is bad but it's almost forest so it's not that bad and we couldn't find any of the personel in the evening. Personel should work on their English.

Vineyard heaven

The house stands right in the middle of the vineyards. There are beautiful details at every turn. Good breakfast.

The spa could not be used due to cleaning, as well as the pool.

Close to the beaches if you have a car or motorcycle. Just a nice place to stay and enjoy life.

Beautiful place in the middle of some vineyards and olive trees. I liked that. It is a little bit off the beaten path and accessible by a gravel road. The personnel was extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfast on the sunny terrace deserves a special mention .

Very friendly and sympathic guy at the reception, had a great dinner and breakfast.

Had no warm water in the morning .. shower was very " refreshing" .. no possibility to watch evening news either on TV (no channels available) nor on mobile (very bad WLAN).

A beautiful modern lodge in a lovely rural location.

Excellent service, location, facilities, food and wine quality, and a very soothing swimming pool! We biked from the sea up to the mountains/forest to a beautiful location at the edge of a small village, Malchina. Had a relaxing rest, then explored the area trails, which skirt the Italy/Slovenia border. Had wine and dinner in the vinyard, as well as the included full breakfast the next morning. Very receptive staff.

Very professional and friendly manager, familiar atmosphere, very nice clean room, great location to relax and rest in full nature, very good food, nice pool, breakfast is served behind the house in the idyllic garden next to the wineyards, price for double room single use was cheaper than the full double room price (very much appreciated!)

Noisy bachelor parties in a wonderful boutique hotel in such peaceful & quiet surroundings are a no-go. Music too loud at the pool sometimes (but after asking the staff reduced the volume). Dinner is too expensive given the rather small portions.

Valentina was a perfect host! Location is beautiful, the wine and food is really great. A suggestion: it would be nice to have a wine tour, where you can see how the wine is made. Ps. Try the Brut Rosé, it is really amazing.

Charming Boutique Wine Resort

The Resort was new and clean. Quite with only a few guests, and a friendly and serviceminded Staff. Produces its own Processeco which was very elegant and tasty. We had a good dinner and breakfeast.

Pool war einen Tag belegt wegen einem Junggesellinnenabschied. Etwas schwer zu finden und letztes Stück der Anfahrt Schotterstraße.

Ein sauberes einfaches Hotel in einer sehr schönen Lage, wer Ruhe sucht, ist dort gut aufgehoben.

Frühstück unter Olivenbäumen neben den Weinreben, eine sehr ruhige Lage.

Das Restaurant war während unseres Aufenthaltes geschlossen, auch wenn es uns bekannt war, wäre es nett gewesen, wenn man für die Hotelgäste zumindest eine Art Self Service für Getränke und Snacks angeboten hätte. Außerhalb der Checkin/Check out Zeiten war nirgendwo jemand zu erreichen. Bei einem Anruf um 21:15 Uhr kam lediglich die Antwort: I don’t care, dann wurde eingehängt.
