The location and some elements of the property are finished to a high standard.
The check in and out time. We stay in many holiday let's throughout the year and I have never encountered a 5pm check in time. There was no flexibility for even one hour earlier. Not ideal after a long journey.
Upon arrival at the property, the bed was unmade and from the look of the sheets I would say it had not been changed. Towels were in a heap in the corner of the bedroom, unwashed and still damp from whomever had used them. The main bedroom light did not work, so we had to rely on the small bedside lamp. Handles dropping off the bedside drawers and the bathroom in particular was finished to a low standard.
Upstairs occupants we're extremely noisy and appeared to be moving furniture at around 6am.
We have also never encountered a property that does not have at least one toilet roll to start you off at least or a tea towel to dry up after washing kitchen equipment. There were also no bin liners in the bins.
We did wonder if the property had not been cleaned, why we could not check in until 5pm?
