Location. Free coffee. Nice fella who worked reception. Im sorry I forgot his name, but hes from Spain.
The bed. And electrical outlets were few and inconvenient places.

The location is just perfect ! In the old town directly ! The view from the room was amazing. The person at the reception was really nice as well and helpful.
The ground of the room was obviously not cleaned for a while since in every corner you could find some heap of hairs and dust. In the shared kitchen there was no soap for the dishes and no towel so I wonder how people washed their dishes … obviously they didn’t since the dishes was pretty dirty (fatty and with some rests of food). The cleaning lady came at 8 pm to clean the kitchen, that is exactly the time where we cook. She wanted to be kind and leave me cook but she left the baking trays full of bleach.

Amazing place to stay, rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The managers and volunteers were super friendly and made me feel at home, I would highly recommend staying here if you find yourself in the area!

The hostel’s location is good inside the Old town with lots of restaurants around.
The toilet was very dirty and drainage was a big problem. The kitchen was dirty and messy. There is no hot water at the washing basin and the hot water goes on and off in the shower

Fabulous hostel. Brilliant location, great staff who were super helpful and answered loads of my questions. Nice 'canteen' area to sit in, including a small outside terrace. Our room was lovely - really spacious - and I found the bed super comfortable.
The showers randomly going cold! The kitchen area is also really small and needed some love.

Has everything you could possibly want, and a pool in the middle of the old town. Lovely staff.
Over zealous guests invading personal space and personal experiences.

Location was amazing and the staff put on activities every night which made for a fun and social vibe.
Very noisy even in the private rooms but we expected it based on reviews. Shared bathroom had very inconsistent water temps which was frustrating at times.

It has a good location, very central. Since it functions as a hostel they try to create some socialising space.
It was too noisy, not only because it is central and their front desk has events for their guests, but the guests do not respect others. I woke up a few times during the night because people were coming upstairs and talking loudly. It was also not clean, my sheets had stains and it almost seemed like they did not even change them, and there was also dust and dirt in the carpets. We ended up leaving earlier and only spending one night there and we were not even inquired by the staff if everything was ok or what was the issue. Even if we stayed in private rooms it still felt like a hostel where people just came to party and made noise late in the night, without being clean and comfortable.

Great location, helpful staff, comfortable room with a wonderful view.
Bathroom could be dirty at times as it’s shared, but still cleaned every day which was great.

Excellent Location. Friendly staff. Room was fine.
The sheets were filthy and with stains on them. Looks like they may not have been cleaned. Same goes for the pillow cases. The shared Bathroom was disgusting and lacked any soap.

It was easy to access the bus stop. Good to be able to leave my luggage there
The dorm was fairly small. Sheets and towel were thin and worn. Bathroom was ok

Quaint hostel that had all the facilities we needed. Our triple room was spacious and cool … it had aircon and double glazed windows which really helped in dampening the partying in the area. I liked the location - it’s within the walls and easy to find. The 11 pm curfew was also followed by guests.
The shower stalls are small and one had really slow drainage resulting in flooding.
The kitchen needs a working percolator.

It’s in the old town. The bed was comfortable and the manager was polite and welcoming.
The bathroom/shower rooms were awful. Dirty wetness on the floor. The shower water wouldn’t drain and you can barely move in there. Way too small. One of the showers even had the shower knob missing.
There is no privacy when brushing your teeth as it’s an open area.
I was told to hand over my passport as a deposit as I didn’t have cash which was a bit out of order. To be fair, we live in the 21st century where cashless and cards are predominantly used. It’s ridiculous the way we have to pay in cash. It’s not our fault you don’t want to have a machine.

Staff were friendly and it was a good location. It was cheap, but you get what you pay for.
The bedding was very old. There were stains on the duvet and towels, and the sheets were very old and didn’t fit the bed properly. It was also very noisy/creeky. The shower room was out of order, so there were only 2 toilets and 1 shower for a lot of people. We were also fined when leaving the country for not having paid a tourist tax. We have since found out that it is the responsibly of the accomodation provider to collect tourist tax from guests and provide records that such tax has been paid. The hostel didn’t mention anything to us about such tax.

We really enjoyed our stay! The location was absolutely perfect — right in the heart of the Old Town, with beautiful historic streets, cozy cafés, and a stunning church just steps away.
Our room was on the 4th or 5th floor — the stairs were a bit tiring, but totally worth it for the amazing view over the city and the sea. Just breathtaking!
The room had everything we needed. Wi-Fi was available, though the connection was a bit weak at times.
We also loved that the hotel offers its own activities — we took a boat trip for €15 and jumped into the sea, which was way better and cheaper than the €40 options from tourist shops.
One downside was that we booked a room with a private bathroom, but ended up having to share it — which was not mentioned clearly. This led to long waits for the shower, especially in the evenings, and one of the showers was out of order, which made it worse.
Also, the towels were 2 for 2 of us and it's not enough, and the pillows were too small, which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. Not a huge issue, but things that could be improved.

Our stay in Old Town Homestel in Kotor was nothing short of exceptional. Its strategic location turned out to be the highlight of our trip, allowing us to step out and immediately delve into the enchanting streets and historical wonders of Kotor. One aspect that pleasantly surprised us was the variety of fun activities and tours offered by the hostel. Whether you're into hiking, exploring the nearby fjords, or simply seeking out the best local cuisine, this hostel has something for everyone.
But what truly set this place apart was the welcoming and helpful staff. Their local insights and recommendations were invaluable in making the most of our stay. From suggesting hidden gems to helping us with logistics, they went above and beyond to ensure our time in Kotor was memorable.
I wholeheartedly recommend this hostel to anyone looking to fully immerse themselves in the magic of Kotor.

The beds are so old that you can feel the springs. This was quite uncomfortable

Great, comfortable personal room in a hostel. I shared the bathroom across the hall with a dorm room. The staff kept the bathroom and common areas clean. Friendly, helpful staff at check in. Super location right in the old city.
I liked it all.

the best thing is location.
Rooms were really dirty, there were lots of hair around especially on blankets and even the bathroom was left without cleaning (they provided cleaning when realized)

The location just inside the old town
The blankets are dirt, the shower cabin didn't close spreading water for the bathroom flor, there are dust inside the room. It was a terrible experience and leads me an allergic crisis.
