If you’re looking for a real Italian hotel, you won’t be disappointed.

Just ticking boxes to review the hotel is a little pointless. If you’re looking for a modern concrete block of a hotel set in a tarmac car park, possibly this isn’t for you. The building, and everything about it, is what we enjoy about Italy and why we live here. The room was not enormous but very comfortable and air conditioned. Sure, the arrival process is a little ‘clunky’ but Elia was beyond helpful. Parking wasn’t really an issue although a little way from the hotel. Breakfast delivered to the room was a lovely touch given the limitations imposed by the restoration of the building. Rated as 10 as, for us, it was perfect. Would stay again without hesitation.

Fantastic Stay

We had an amazing time at Antica Piacenza! We arrived a bit early and the hosts were super friendly, letting us check in and have a shower after our long travel. The location is perfect - you can just park and stroll around the downtown area, checking out the shops and restaurants. Antica Piacenza has its own private parking, which is way more convenient than street parking. And the room was spotless! It felt like home right away. The shower was incredible - it had multiple jets, temperature control, and even led lights. It was the perfect way to relax before heading out for aperitif and dinner. Oh, and if you’re reading this review, I want to make sure you know I’m a big fan of family-run businesses. I’ve stayed in many big chain hotels in the States, but this was a totally different experience. It felt more authentic and family-oriented, and I didn’t feel like a customer - I felt like a guest. That’s what really matters when you’re staying in a hotel. So, if you’re looking for a quiet, clean, and beautifully decorated place near the city center, Antica Piacenza is definitely a place I’d recommend.

Very clean and up to date modern. Bed very comfortable and staff were great. Great breakfast for $10 charge per person and secure parking 2-3 blocks away for small fee. Worth it

To use the shower there is definitely a learning curve. You need to read a long page Manuel to work the shower as it is high tech. There were no usb ports for charging phone. We have no Italian plug converts

Fabulous in every way! The staff are amazing!

Beautiful, really central, amazingly clean, the staff were incredibly helpful and the room was gorgeous! It was my partners birthday and they organised wine, chocolates and a lovely heart on the bed and served us the most beautiful breakfast in the morning.

That we only booked one night, I wish we had of had longer!

Great place to stop on our long journey south

The rooms were all decorated and equipped to a high standard. The rooms were clean and bed very comfortable. Location was a short walk to the main square, restaurants etc. Salvatore was an excellent host who took his time explaining everything.

clean, excellent location and staff were very accommodating. they provided in room breakfast service…inexpensive, on time and exactly as ordered. we had been cycling in the rain and we’re grateful for the early check-in!

Very good.

The shower, with changing LED lights was a huge hit with my 10 year-old grandson. Good to have a kettle in the room, and the minibar fridge is a decent size. If you have a Netflix account you can access it on the room's TV, which was great for my grandson as he could watch programmes in English.

I had intended to book B&B, but - my mistake - I must have clicked the wrong button and on arrival found that breakfast wasn't included in my booking. Fortunately, Anna and her team can arrange Continental breakfast for you once you arrive, provided you order by 7pm the evening before. The business is situated on the 2nd & 3rd floors of a 19th century palazzo, so you have a choice between several flights of stairs, or a lift is available for guests which at the very least can be used for moving any luggage you may have.
