About this bed and breakfast
19th century country house full of character located in a typical Gâtinais village, feet in the forest of Fontainebleau. You can enjoy activities such as hiking, cycling, horse riding and climbing at world famous spots, or play golf. You will be close to the Château de Fontainebleau, Barbizon and Grez-sur-Loing to the impressionist painters, Milly-la-Forêt and Moret-sur-loing to the medieval heritages, Bourron-Marlotte and the Grand Parquet.
A family house with a refined, charming and warm style for those looking for authenticity and a friendly atmosphere. Prepare to hear the sounds of nature in the middle of this calm and unique environment, and enjoy from your room the garden mixing with the Fontainebleau forest as far as the eye can see.
The house is just 5 minutes from the A6 motorway. You will be 12 minutes by car from the center of Fontainebleau and at most 18 minutes from the various charming villages mentioned. You can visit the Château de Courances 25 minutes away and the magnificent Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte.
The trail of the Grand Tour de Paris (GR 11) which makes the Ile-de-France loop for 650 km crosses the village in the 12th century Saint-Martin church, halfway from Achères-la- Forest and Grez-sur-Loing.
The two available rooms are on the 1st floor of the house with a dedicated and spacious bathroom (with bathtub), which comes next to a separate toilet, all on the same corridor.
You will also have free access to the kitchen (within a specified time period) and the dining room, where you can prepare and enjoy your breakfast and light meals. The large living room will allow you to read books, watch television, browse the internet at an excellent speed or even rest by the fireplace according to your leisure.
For breakfast, you will have at your disposal: tea, coffee, milk, wholemeal bread, butter, jam and honey from the Gâtinais.
The village has a bakery less than 5 minutes walk from the house. Other shops, grocery stores or supermarkets are 5-7 minutes by car.
