    Lovely and welcoming!
It was a really lovely and quiet place to spend a few days over New Year. For New Year's Eve, the whole of the ground floor common areas were transformed into a beautiful dinner and party space, with live music followed by a DJ later (shame the festive dinner wasn't somewhat cheaper but I guess that's New Year!). The common areas also provided a lovely comfortable and sociable space at other times, with a nice nook with lego and board games for kids. The staff were all lovely and charming throughout. Delicious and plentiful breakfasts. We really enjoyed saying hello to the hens in a pen in the grounds and feeding them too (as the hotel provide the feed on request). It was great for our child and us to have access to the small pool. The pool area was very welcoming and warm, and the plus side of the water really being too cold was that it was never crowded....
It would have been nice to have warmer water in the pool (it's kept cooler than you might expect for environmental reasons). It was at 22C when we were there. Our child was very happy with it. It was fine as long as you keep moving but given it's quite small anyway ... that can be tricky. Too cold for the child's dad!

    Very nice stay
Nice room, reasonably sized, great decor. Great location if you want to walk to the shopping area and the chateau without going by car. Great on-site restaurant, the food and service was excellent - did not eat breakfast there though.
Swimming pool was too cold due to a glitch at the time so did not get to use it. Main light in the room not bright enough in my view. Used the downstairs area to chill and read a book but seats could do with a bit of cleaning where people spilt drinks.

    Travelling through France
Loved this hotel.....for a chain hotel it was so quirky. Great location. It was a really cold December when we stayed and it was so warm and cosy. We didn't eat in the hotel but the restaurant was really popular and the menu was extensive. Also only a short walk into town and to the famous Chateau.

Bad stop over due to poor communication.
Good location, parking, staff very friendly and helpful
Stayed New Year’s Eve and there was a party night at the hotel that cost €170 per person that was far too expensive. There was no other consideration for guests not attending the party. Bar shut, restaurant shut, no room service. And the party disco was very loud and went on to 3am. We had to eat cheese and biscuits we had with us in the room. We should have been warned this was the case in advance so we could have booked somewhere else or been given a discount for the inconvenience.

    Disappointing
    The room was clean
The pictures promise a luxurious hotel in reality it was more of an average hotel. The main downstairs reception and restaurant area is open plan and was cold. The swimming pool was inside and outside and the outside bit was closed so what was open was more of a hot tub size than a swimming pool. The bedroom was cold, breakfast was average and we felt it did not deliver value for money.
