A pleasant modest hotel if you’re visiting Fontainebleau.

It’s in a lovely town. The property is modest but clean and comfortable.

Be aware of the hygiene issue

In a quiet alley.

We have been cycling in France for a month and this is the most unclean place we have stayed in. The bed sheet had stains and was dusty. They let us store our e-bikes in the storage where their garbage cans were and we woke up to see our handle bar rubber, the bike computer controller were chewed up badly by mice which left big holes and the circuit board exposed. There were also holes everywhere on our saddle bag and rack bag that we left on with the bike overnight. In addition, we filled one water bottle with their drinking machine, and the bottle has gotten pretty badly moldy inside the day after, while the other water bottle we had filled with tab water from the previous hotel was totally fine. This has never happened in our month long bike trip. I think either their drinking machine hasn’t been cleaned or the water source was contaminated. The worst is we had already drank half bottle of that water without knowing it… In short, be aware of the hygiene problem, and don’t take your bikes here.

Location is good.

You cannot check in until 4 pm even to drop bags! They have a phone number to call but don’t answer it. This is not on their website. I had to sit in a nearby restaurant waiting for them to open. There is no AC.

Very nice traditional hotel on a quiet side street.

We are traveling by bicycle and the staff was kind enough to store our bike securely during our stay. They also recommended a good restaurant for dinner.

An electric kettle and USB port in rooms would be very nice.

could not access the hotel —-not even to drop a bag —until 4pm!!!! They kick you out at 11.30 in morning. I missed a church weddding because of this and could only go to the reception

Not the best, but definitely value for money

Amazing location, right behind the Chateau garden. Very friendly and accommodating staff, they let us check in at 12.30pm even though their policy clearly states 4pm. Filtered water dispenser (free), and half-decent coffee (1 euro) on the ground floor.

The property is old, so no elevators - which isn't a problem until you're lugging a 25kg suitcase up two flights of rickety stairs. The room was a tad unclean, and there was a giant spider in the far corner, web and all ;)

Expensive for what it is

The owner was very welcoming. The bed was comfy and the room was adequate for a short stay. There was air conditioning, which was a welcome relief on a hot day with a window that we couldn't open. The hotel was well situated, very near the park and within walking distance of the castle. I would stay here again if the price was lowered by a third!

This hotel is too expensive for what it is. It is a perfectly pleasant two star hotel ; small rooms with thin walls, tired decor in the communal areas and a simple breakfast which was not worth 10 euros. Our room only had a sky light window, which we couldn't open, which was quite claustrophobic. The shower was not very powerful and there was no shower gel in the dispenser.

The location was really nice, close to cafes and shops. Right in the city centre.

There weren't any place to park on a street. The room was not sound proof and unlucky me, the family arrived next door around 1 am. The air in the room was really dry..
