LE CARPE DIEM

Bellissimo appartamento in posizione centrale e allo stesso tempo tranquilla

Carpe Diem was a wonderful place for my husband and I to experience a summer in France. The apartment felt spacious for the two of us and gave us an opportunity to invite our adult children to stay for a few days during their vacations. The space was convenient to everything: an easy walk to the Loire River, groceries, restaurants, bike rentals, and the train station. Guy, the owner, was helpful and responsive. We appreciated his willingness to offer additional fans during the heat wave and to help us when we locked ourselves out. It was a wonderful two months and we hope to return to Tours in the future.

Occasionally, the street outside was noisy late at night and in the early morning. We could have used more cooking utensils and/or sharper knives for chopping (but a small problem overall).

Location was excellent, between the river and the Old Town. Apartment was spacious with good kitchen facilities. Lots to do in this area. Parking at the door.

The bedrooms got very hot. An electric fan in each bedroom would be helpful during the warm nights. Showers were in the bedrooms which was a bit different but okay.

Apartment was clean and well equipped. Thoughtful touches throughout. Close to grocery and restaurants. Host was very nice and helpful.

Lots of homeless and street folk in the area. Noises late at night. Says two bathrooms but only one toilet. For three older women these were challenges. Washer/dryer combo were difficult to work. But that may be our lack of understanding
