Lovely quirky place to rent ,lots of space and modern facilities

Amazing location. Short walk to town. Very quirky to stay in a cave! The kids loved it and plenty of space for us as a family of 5. Very comfortable and good facilities to cook. Good communication from the host throughout.Tours was a lovely city as well.

Unique accommodation in great location with everything you need!

A unique cool retreat from the hot weather. Everything we needed in the kitchen ( hob, microwave, mini oven-grill , fridge, coffee machine , dishwasher, kettle & plenty of crockery , pans , mugs & classes. ) Parking was always possible in the recommended areas. The showers and bathrooms were clean and plentiful for a family of 5 with 4 adults. The outside tables were in a pretty courtyard and there was plenty of space indoors for eating and relaxing. Really enjoyed being in a cave house whilst still having all the comforts. Great location close to bakery and only a short walk over the bridge to all the eateries and shops. Communication was fast and the hosts checked we had everything we needed ! Definitely recommend!

Warm, cosy, unique and historic house

Totally unique, historic, spacious and cosy cave house that is very close to the town centre but tucked away in a quiet street. Beautiful and full of character it was warm and welcoming. Great space for all the family. Parking was easy and close to an excellent patisserie for breakfast. We loved it!

Unique place to stay . Very clean and unexpected good sized rooms . Good area within walking distance of the centre of Tours . Would recommend and use again .

Young children or not physically abled person might have difficulties with steep stairs to lounge and upper bedroom - but large downstairs bedroom , toilet and shower room plus seating in the kitchen / dining area so no need to climb stairs .

Appartement well located with old city center just across the bridge. Spacious rooms. Nearby parking was safe. Close to highway so ideal for short stopover to/from Southern France. Unique experience to stay a few nights in a cave. Kids loved it.

Modern with honor to traditional construction.

I loved that this property was located in a rock wall. The location was also very nice. It is located in a city but you could think you’re in a peaceful village.

It is very humid, but hey you’re in a rock wall, what would you expect? You have a bedroom downstairs, but we slept upstairs where is was less humid.

Disappointing.

I love the natural stone, the cave walls and the overall "organic" feeling of the place.

Unfortunately the reality of this accommodation did not match my expectations. The entrance to the property and the little courtyard was full of rubbish and builder's rubble. It was unkempt and untidy. The property itself is quirky and has huge potential but it wasn't very clean. There were shelves hanging off the wall, cobwebs in the corners and very dirty plastic chairs at the dining table. Parking is not easy. There is a small carpark very close but I doubt there are often any available spaces. The big carpark, which is only about 5 minutes away is fine but it has a 1.9m height restriction! Thankfully somebody had deliberately bent the barrier slightly and I squeezed in with half a cm to spare! Also, the wifi drops in and out all the time and doesn't work at all in the bedroom.

Something different, a must for the Loire Valley

This recently renovated property has all the comforts you would expect. Built as a cave into the hill with de-humidifiers to keep dry, it was a really nice surprise. Ultra clean and supplies close by mon-fri or a beautiful 15 min walk on weekends. I have to give it the highest rating because it's so modern and clean... yet different too. A must if you want to see the Loire Valley

Baking hot weather 38c when we were there and the relief to come back to a cool house was a highlight. No idea what it would be like in the winter so see other reviews for that. There's really nothing else to stay. High quality accommodation.

L'emplacement et le cadre sont très bien

Le logement est troglodyte en conséquence la ventilation et le chauffage sont essentiels. Dormir dans des draps humides ce n'est pas très agréable. Je pense que l'anticipation de notre arrivée permettait de mettre en route chauffage et ventilation afin que nous ayons un séjour agréable. Nous sommes arrivés vers 17h, et au mois d'octobre cette dimension est prévisible. Le fait aussi que toutes les indications soient en anglais, nous a quelque peu surpris. Nous étions, dans ce que je crois nous appelons le jardin de la France, à proximité de nombre de chateaux royaux !! Le bilingue serait le minimum.

Bel endroit, mais ...

L'emplacement et l'originalité du logement.

Propriétaire défaillant ! Le matériel de cuisine est indigent (4 verres dont un ébréché) et pas très propre... Pas de linge de toilette à notre arrivée : nous avons été obligés d'appeler le propriétaire et de le relancer deux fois pour que quelqu'un vienne nous déposer ce qui manquait après 22h !

Avec un petit effort , ce logement pourrait être vraiment sympa!

La charmante petite terrasse avec son mobilier coloré, le grand calme de l'impasse et son abondante verdure, les voisins très discrets. La situation géographique Le parking gratuit et la proximité de la ville par le pont. La déco contemporaine de l'appartement ...et bien sûr l'aspect grotte dépaysant.

A améliorer: Plusieurs ampoules ne fonctionnant pas, notamment dans la suspension du séjour et au-dessus de l'évier. Pas un seul rouleau de papier-toilette (toujours désagréable de courir faire des courses après 7 heures de route et à une heure tardive!) Quelques ingrédients de base type poivre, huile,... auraient été bienvenus et surtout nous avons dû utiliser les flûtes car il n'y avait pas de verres en état pour chacun de nous (deux verres très fêlés inutilisables!)
