Perfect location in gated complex overlooking the old town

Perfect location in Citta Alta, and the airport bus 1 minute away. Set within a gated complex with entry via a big white gate. Nice spacious apartment in an old building and stunning views over the valley to the old town and Bergamo itself. Comprises sitting room with a kitchenette area (with fridge, microwave, utensils etc), bedroom and bathroom with shower. High ceilings within. A few minutes stroll into the charming old town centre with its narrow cobblestoned streets and plenty of good restaurants. Parking also on site for anyone arriving by car. Recommended 😀

A few minor things. A little updating and attention to detail is needed. There was only one wine glass. Tiles in the bathroom are either old or stained. It would have been nice to have the towels changed after two days. Lastly, we couldn’t get the coffee machine to work. All are minor really and are easily fixed.

An interesting stay in a great location

The location was fantastic, very close to restaurants, shops ,bars with spectacular views. The bus from the airport and railway station is virtually at the door. The bedroom was comfortable, dark and quiet at night.

Kitchen was lacking in some respects The dining table dangerous! Basic extras, soap and kitchen equipment particularly. No welcome pack. A comfortable chair would have been welcome and although the gardens and grounds were very well tended and spacious we would have appreciated some private outside space with furniture.

Poorly equipped,no toaster,no washing machine, lack of adequate cutlery eg. Teaspoons, only one wine glass,Unstable table which could have been dangerous if hot drinks spilled etc.No lounge tv. Shower was mouldy and needed a complete clean .The tiles had been partially washed but there was a black residue on most which could have been removed. We expected a balcony (not there), terrace and patio with somewhere to sit privately , -not available. In your Confirmation letter, it was stated that the hosts “were just a phone call away.”It did NOT state the phone number was in Argentina.When we were unable to gain access on arrival we tried to telephone numbers without success and had , After two hours ,to enlist the help of kindly neighbours.This was after we had sent e mails indicating the plane would land half an hour before the host’s check in deadline .We therefore agreed by email with them that our actual arrival could be delayed .This was confirmed by them .We had to wait in the pitch black outside the property for a lengthy period. We were eventually met by a different agent -Marina who brought keys to allow access.

Nice accommodation in a beautiful quiet location.

The location was fantastic and so close to where the bus comes in from the airport. It is also very close to the main squares of the upper town. Virtually silent at night, and the air con guaranteed we kept nice and cool.

Exceptional...This is Bergamo

What a place and what a view. This has to be the best apartment in Bergamo hands down. We were met by a lovely and friendly lady and shown to our apartment who took the time to explain everything we needed to know and more with tips on where to shop and what to see and do. It has two different entrance points and each have a fantastic view. We were sitting in the fantastic garden one night and sat and watched horses galloping about in the field below us.. The location is second to none. Open the gate and cross the road and the Airport/Train Station Bus is right there.

I actually feel terrible for pointing this out as this place was amazing and we totally loved everything about It. But just in case the owner is unaware, the table in the living room is very unstable and we almost had a few hot drinks spill on to our laps. It looks like the table needs to be upended and the bolts tightened

Beyond expectations.

Location is superb in historic building with lovely views of old town and surrounding valley and hills. Private gated location giving an exclusive feel. Quiet position minutes from main town. Two minutes from bus to lower town and airport.

We love the location, the garden, and the view from the room. There's a bus stop right across the street from the gate; Bus No. 1 takes you to Città Bassa and Bergamo Airport. All the shops and restaurants in Città Alta are conveniently within walking distance. Particularly, Marianna, the famous pasticceria, is right on our doorstep, making it our go-to spot for breakfast every morning.

Quiet and central

The location of the appartement is marvellous, as it's right next to North side of the Città Alta. So you have a view of the upper town as well as the mountains. The appartement is quiet, hardly any traffic sounds. It is renovated in a loving, tasteful way. Bars, gelateria, supermarket, fruit & veggies, even a hidden little Biergarten is closeby.

Everything!! The apartment is gorgeous and has the most stunning view! The location is equally awesome! You will find everything you need to be comfortable and make dinner at the apartment. The bed is comfortable and the rain shower is awesome! The air conditioner is absolutely superb!! It gets really cold and we are used to keeping our home cool so this was perfect! This apartment made our stay in Bergamo even better than expected and we already love it here so much!! Grazie mille!!!

the only issue is that it seemed difficult to communicate throughout our stay. initially it was great and the host is very kind and replaced our crib for our daughter but no communication after. we really didn’t need anything except instructions on check out. Again, we are very happy we stayed here and would stay again! we would just ask all our questions on day one. haha!

The perfect location in Bergamo

This is the perfect place to stay in Bergamo. The location of this apartment is superb, just a 2 minute walk to the entrance to Citta Alta. Its clean, comfortable, and the garden is fabulous... A lovely place to sit in the morning and listen to the bells ringing. Staff were wonderful, so welcoming and accommodating, and they kindly organised a taxi to the airport for us upon check out. We plan to go back to Bergamo again next year, and we'll definitely be staying here... Thank you!

Great location just in front of the Marianna and the bus that takes you to the airport. The apartment was nicely decorated. Host very nice and helpful.

the bed could be a bit more comfortable. There was no hand soap in the bathroom and shampoo an gel were not enough for 2 people 2 days in sweaty August. An extra blanket just in case would be appreciated.

View from apartment was nice. AC in lounge and bedroom was great considering outside temp of 33c. Nice and quiet away from the noise of the old town, yet close enough to walk to everything.

Small things. Struggled to get the wifi working even though I informed them days in advance that I needed to connect to a meeting as soon as I arrive. It would have been nice if the WIFI password was written down somewhere for guests and not to leave it up to the guests to figure it out by themselves. We asked for extra pillows. It didnt arrive same day, I had to remind them and it arrived a day later. Also had to ask for toilet paper even though you pay extra for apartment to be serviced, probably something small that was overlooked.

Ideale Lage

Perfekte Lage für einen Besuch von Bergamo. Wunderschöne Anlage mit traumhaftem Blick, die Altstadt ist in Laufnähe gelegen, ruhig und mit parkähnlichem Garten, der genutzt werden kann. Man kann in der Anlage gegen Gebühr parken.

Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war holprig. Bei Ankunft (das Finden war nicht ganz einfach, da es keine deutliche Beschilderung an der Unterkunft gibt; eine Info dazu vorab wäre hilfreich gewesen) war niemand da und die Frage, wann wir ankommen, erreichte uns erst vor Ort. Hier wäre eine Kontaktaufnahme ein paar Tage vor unserer Anreise hilfreich gewesen. Das Apartment selbst ist ausreichend ausgestattet mit Luft nach oben. Zusatzkosten sind in bar zu zahlen: Für den Parkplatz 25 Euro pro Nacht (!) und Tourismusabgabe (bei uns 25 Euro für 3 Personen für 2 Tage).
