Excellent location, lovely clean house with comfortable beds and excellent value for money.

We liked the location and the ease of parking nearby for free which was very welcome. We were very pleased to discover there was an en-suite in the room at the top of the house because this meant there was an en-suite toilet on each floor. With 5 of us staying there was very helpful. The kitchen was very well equipped although we only ate breakfasts and snacks there. The addition of the breakfast bar was excellent too.

We had a bit of trouble with the shower on the second floor on the first night.

Well located, clean and spacious house in a quiet setting. Great to have parking available.

The house was very well laid out. 3 double bedrooms which were all comfortable. Having an en-suite, bathroom and cloakroom was a great asset.

The size of the kitchen didn’t really allow space for a table, but the breakfast bar was useful.

Post christmas family break

I liked the free parking and the decor was modern, however there were some cracks on the door frames and the plug sockets were very stiff to put plugs in and were coming away from the wall when removing the plugs.

The beds were too hard and really uncomfortable and not great on my back. The sofa was very uncomfortable too, it was dated and well used. The water when using the en suite shower was only warm and could have done with being a bit hotter.

Great place to meet up with family.nice amenities nearby and easy access to central York

Very clean and comfortable house. Free, easy on street parking. Everything worked well. The local area is really nice and you can take a lovely walk through the park into York in about 20/25 minutes. We went to Lapin coffee shop frequently which is practically next door.

Nothing really. It’s a small house but you can see that in the pictures. It’s great as a base.

Great stay in pleasant surroundings, close to all amenities.

The location was fine, close to town and the amenities. Ideal for the Racecourse, which is what we were there for.

The shower in the en-suite bedroom didn't work very well, which was very disappointing for our friends.

An ideal base from which to explore beautiful York.

We stayed as a family of 6; 3 couples in three double rooms. All the rooms were clean, comfortable and well appointed with two bathrooms and 3 toilets complimenting. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the washing machine and other facilities were excellent. The wifi and tv worked well and the place was clean and tidy. Self checkin was easy with the key safe, and the property is in a quiet residential area only a 20 minute walk to the old city walls, if you’re mobile. The place was ideal for our purposes.

Parking is free on the street but we weren’t always able to access a space immediately outside the property. We always found a space within 25 metres though. The lights on the landing of the top floor weren’t working - probably just a globe required.

Really clean and well maintained house, comfortable with all amenities that were needed.

The shower was not very good, it just trickled and the there was a bit of a blockage in the shower tray as the water wasn’t running away.

A great place for family holiday of 6 adults, just what we needed where we needed it.

Perfect location, easy walking distance into the City Centre and to the racecourse. Roomy enough and comfortable for 6 adults. Easy to park close by with free on street parking.

A huge difference in temperature between ground floor and the upper floors. The living room was quite cool but the bedrooms boiling hot, not great for sleeping. The windows only slightly opened and there was no way to regulate the temperature. There was only a small breakfast bar with 3 stools when the house is for 6 adults. Even a small table would have been helpful. Very little storage space either in kitchen or bedrooms, cupboard space or some drawers would have been useful. The shower in the bathroom needs improving. That said, these slight problems did not spoil a great stay, putting them right would make it a fabulous stay.

The beds were very comfortable. The location was good, too.

Rooms upstairs were very hot, shower was too hot in temperature (en-suite shower) and couldn't control it so was not able to use during our stay. Windows were very difficult to open. The freezer was jammed with ice and needed defrosting, we couldn't use it during our stay. WiFi didn't work.

Nice little property, well situated for what we needed. With comfortable beds and good facilities.

Location is an easy enough 10-15 minute walk to Bushy Road a well-known and loved area that is a short walk from the city centre. It's just outside of the parking restrictions area so you can have multiple cars easily enough. A nice little house. Good beds, good facilities.

The only downside was the house was very warm, but it is a small terrace with a property on either side and an opened window helped :) Nothing else wrong with it that we could see.

good layout, lots of space. good fridge, dishwasher, microwave, large sofa and tv all good.

the house feels too warm and poor ventilation, I couldn’t open my bedroom window ( permanently locked/stuck). All of us had problems sleeping as house was too warm. bed linen was ok but synthetic quilt made it even Warmer! a chair or surface for bags and clothes would be useful. kitchen needs a new frying pan ( current one old and worn). good bathroom towels

Rather compact property.

Location suited.

Property is a new small terraced house. Not a problem for two of us. More than 3 and you'll be breakfasting in shifts. Missing basics like a teapot and a non pod system coffee making option. Seemed expensive for what it offered. For those that only want a bed near the racecourse it's probably fine.

Nice furnishings and comfy bed. Very warm, we didn't need heating on.

Shower in en suite wasn't too much of a problem but changing from hot to cold. Lots of cobwebs. My son, aged 7, found a packet of cigarettes under the arm chair.

The downstairs communal area is quite small for 6 people. The toilet on the 1st floor wouldn’t flush and although we were told it would be fixed, it wasn’t.

Fabulous weekend away

The property was absolutely stunning. Furnished beautifully and the attention to detail was outstanding. There was already toilet roll and soap etc for us to use. We’ve had to take our own to other places. I would actually love to live there always.

Would highly recommend and definitely stay again

Very clean, tastefully decorated, quiet area, everything provided and a 20 minute walk into the centre of York (passing a pub and a parade of shops/restaurants on the way). We had a fabulous stay for a family of 4.

The house was very warm (we were lucky enough to have good weather) but fans were provided in every bedroom, so not a problem.
