Knavesmire Mews 3 bedrooms-Free parking

Location for the races.

The house was clean even thought it needs some TLC. It was very hot in the bedrooms and the fans were of no help.

Upon reading the reviews before booking somebody mentioned that the legs of the sofa were broker. You replied saying this has now been repaired. Upon arrival the sofa on one side is held up with 4 bricks 2 for the front and 2 for the back. This is a safety issue. Also the shower over the bath is dangerous as the bath is not anti slip and I travelled with my 80 year old dad with mobility issues so was unable to get to the top floor for the walk in shower. Parking was an absolute nightmare is was first come first served basis found it very difficult to get a pitch. The lamp had in the top bedroom had a broken shade and had just been left on top of the lamp stand.

The location for York Racecourse, the local shops and cafes and how quiet the area was. The house itself was perfect for our needs.

The sofa had a broken leg which made it a wee bit difficult to sit on.

I liked the free parking and the decor was modern, however there were some cracks on the door frames and the plug sockets were very stiff to put plugs in and were coming away from the wall when removing the plugs.

The beds were too hard and really uncomfortable and not great on my back. The sofa was very uncomfortable too, it was dated and well used. The water when using the en suite shower was only warm and could have done with being a bit hotter.
