It was absolutely fantastic

The hosts were so lovely and thoughtful. We stayed from 23rd May- 25th May. There was a sun hut next to the shepherds which you could use. It was lovely, had a small TV with a variety of DVDS and a beautiful view to look onto outside. There is a patio section to enjoy a cuppa and lovely view in the morning. I usually struggle to sleep when I go overnights but the bed was incredibly comfy and there was a TV on the wall above the bed. I was so impressed with the amenities within the shepherds hut e.g tea and coffee, biscuits, shower gel, dining area, kitchen utensils, radio etc. Little dining area inside, everything you could need for a weekend trip. Only wished we could have spent more time at the shepherds hut, would highly recommend if you’re looking for some relaxation.

Great holiday very peaceful.

We were met on site by Wendy who gave us all the information we needed to have a great stay. While the property is small they have managed to fit in everything you could need during your stay. Nice & quiet

Waterloo

Lovely warm welcome. Lots of goodies for us and our companion Floki. Great seating area outside in a sun trap. Floki loved running around the secure garden.

Fabulous wee hut

Although the hut was small and compact it had everything a larger accommodation would have but on a smaller scale. There was a small welcome basket of crisps, sweets, biscuits and coffee along with a small welcome basket for our dog (although we didn't use them as we had brought our own). The bed was nice and firm which we like as were the pillows. The shower was amazing. Loved the wee sun lounge with it's own TV & selection of DVDs, books and puzzles - so nice to be able to relax there. Our wee dog especially loved the garden and as it was enclosed we knew she was safe sitting outside. We also had her own dog basket with us and she settled down nicely at bedtime to sleep. We did think that perhaps a mesh screen or similar on the door when it was open would be beneficial as due to the warm weather lot of flies and bees were coming into the hut. Location was great and only 5 min drive into Bankfoot to a Nisa supermarket and also the Taste of Perthshire where you could eat in the restaurant or have a takeaway. Dunkeld is also a short distance away in the car. Fabulous accommodation and we hope to return some time. Will certainly recommend to family and friends.

That there wasn't a small shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries on but totally understand this was due to the lack of space.

Perfection.

The Shepherds Hut was the perfect getaway after a busy week. It was comfortable, clean and in a beautiful location. I was in desperate need of some peace and for time to slow down and The Shepherds Hut really delivered.

Cracking place for a stop over and too wind down. Really close to Dunkeld.

We were greated on arrival by Wendy the owner who showed is around and told us about the history of the place. As we had our wee dog with is she presented us with a wee basket for him with some treats, blankets, poo bags and feeding bowls.

This was a lovely place for a 2 night get away, peaceful, the summer house was a perfect place to relax at night with some quiet music, even had a visit from a couple of deer, would highly recommend for a wee escape from the “current situation”

A lovely quiet retreat.

Everything you could need was provided. The grounds were lovely and we were able to relax with our dog in the garden as it was fenced off. Lovely wee separate sunroom have us more room.

Very cute, lovely quiet location and great having a private secure garden with summer house and some really nice touches from the owners. All added to a lovely stay.

Excellent accomodation in a lovely situation. Very well equipped and super clean. Peaceful view and enjoyed outside seating listening to birdsong. Owners very friendly!

birthday weekend was a birthday to remember

stunning little hut in a great area very comfortable great for the dog would defo go back. the little extra touches were so nice the thank you card n the dog bowls to use n treats for the dog were just the icing on the cake

, Facilities were amazing, so many extras, snacks, bbq equipment,lots of kitchen equipment, fresh towels etc.Plenty info about how things worked and contact info as owner doesn't live on site.

It is a very small village and there are no amenities, pub, shop etc within an easy walk.

It was a great accommodation, with perfect access to Perthshire. Lots of information provided.

Enclosed garden area for pets and sun room outside. Very clean and a really good use of the area inside Shepherds Hut.

The only recommendation is to make people aware the bed isn't suitable for tall people. At 5ft 8, I was head to toe, end to end.

Cosy getaway with garden perfect for dogs

We really liked how cosy the Shepherd's Hut was and the summer house in the garden is so relaxing. We loved that there was an enclosed garden where we could let our dog run around and have fun. The Shepherd's Hut is decorated in a really fun way too which we liked.
