Lovely accommodation in a beautiful part of the world

The kitchen was great. A lovely sunny spot looking out of the bay window across the roof tops. The main bedroom was charming with a great view of Dartmouth. All the extras, like the wine and biscuits, coffee machine and Netflix were much appreciated. We felt very much at home. It was a lovely place to relax and spend time in.

Only a small thing but a lamp in the bedroom off the kitchen would be a good addition

Lovely property in a great location but with a few issues.

Great location. Tastefully decorated.

Lots of little things were not right such as missing fittings in one of the bathrooms, cleanliness again in one of the bathrooms, no loo roll on arrival. The outside space needs some TLC. Out of their control but there is a lot of renovation/construction works happening at the property next door and in the local vicinity which starts around 8ish.

Location, size, cleanliness, sunny front deck, two bathrooms.

Neither shower was great, with neither being especially hot. Some extra blankets in the lounge would have helped slightly chilly evenings. A few dishwasher tablets would have helped given we came by public transport for just a few days.

Lovely, welcoming house in great location

Great location. The house was very clean, warm and well decorated. We liked the kitchen space and it was very well equipped with quality cookware and plenty of crockery. 7We would definitely stay here again.

Cottage location was perfect for our requirements. Central and convenient. Lots of space for 5 adults. Well equipped cottage, everything we needed. Handy for parking. Christmas tree gave it a festive touch.

Had to unload the car and negotiate steep stairs in the darkness and rain when we first arrived. This area was poorly lit. We had been aware of the steep stairs to access the property before we arrived, so that was not a surprise. A light in this area would have helped. Had to reset the central heating thermostat a few times as it seemed to be very hot. Always reverted to 25degrees. Couldn't see instructions for the heating in the cottage manual. Wasn't a huge problem but a bit annoying.

Excellent property in the very heart of Dartmouth, with easy access to the town's amenities.

Property was superb, very clean, modern fittings and well equipped. The location being in the heart of Dartmouth was terrific and we enjoyed the ability to walk (flat) no more than a 100 yards to be in the centre of the town. Yes, there was a few steps to enter the property, but you did not have to be a "mountain goat" to get to some properties we considered. The parking permit for the Mayors Car Park was is very good, as parking on Dartmouth can be very challenging.

Clean and pretty cottage, close to everything!

The cottage was perfect, very clean and spacious and in perfect location - within minutes' walk to town centre. The beds were comfy, good shower, a very well equipped kitchen. We felt like home and enjoyed our stay very much. On the first day we noticed that a kitchen sink had a leak so I called the company managing the property. The managing agents were super responsive and have sent someone in to fix the leak right away. They were also very helpful in answering our questions (we arrived quite late in the night). Thank you for everything, we really enjoyed Gulls' Rest and would definitely stay there again!

Nothing really other than it would have been handy to have paper towels in the kitchen and a sponge for dishes (but those can be bought at the shop nearby).

An excellent cottage

This property is spacious for 5 people and very well looked after. The beds are comfortable and the location very central which was fabulous for our party. Comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen and a cosy lounge all ensured an excellent stay.

TV instructions. Went next door for help only to find they were struggling to navigate their TV too. Gave up after several goes. Could turn it and the BT box on but never managed to find the BBC CHANNELS!

very small tv in lounge. could hardly see from far corner settee. Personal choice but having two teenage children they would have preferred to have had a tv in the bedrooms as well.

The property is in a great location within walking distance from all the amenities, the house was really lovely, spotlessly clean, attention to detail, it felt like home from home. Everything you needed was supplied, the décor was beautiful, views from main bedroom great. The owners have created a lovely place for visitors to stay I would highly recommend

Log fire was very nice in the evening. Outdoor patio was also very nice to sit out in after a day of trips around Dartmouth.

Not suitable for anyone who struggles with steps/stairs.
