Kessel House - Outstanding family home, close to town centre

Location was near to the centre of Dartmouth Very homely house Good Showers

The parking space, although a bonus to have in Dartmouth, was extremely difficult to manouvre into with a long estate car. The road that it is on has a steep gradient, whilst other residents are coming from both ways. This was further made difficult by the presence of refuse bins and black plastic refuse bays that hadn't been removed from the plot. Presumably, they were from previous clients who hadn't taken them with them. The front lounge is a beautiful room but we could not get the tv to work, even with the instructions, so had to stay in the 'den' room next to the kitchen. The key lock box was already left on the opening code with the keys inside, which could have security issues.

Beautiful house, plenty of space, clean.

It was very hot! No fans were available during the heatwave. We messaged the host but got no response- just a third party who was trying to make contact with the host. We were travelling with a 2 year old who was struggling to sleep in the hot rooms. No support was given.

Great location, superb swimming pools, lovely to have local residents around us too. Complex has shops, cafes and restaurants. Easy to get Uber or taxi if needed. Beds very comfortable. Souhail purchased food for us due to late arrival which was great. Julia came every morning and provided a huge breakfast and was so lovely, thank you Julia. Initial impression of property was 5/5 however problems became apparent during the week. Souhail was contactable but maybe didn’t take our concerns seriously enough.

Kitchen needs updating and is unsafe-electric shocks from oven and coffee pot when spout accidentally contracted with metal on kettle. Oven was useless, chips failed to cook on highest setting in 40 mins. Water leak in bathroom and toilet-required bucket in lounge and unable to use for most of holiday. Downstairs toilet not properly plumbed in-unique flushing system!! Electric sockets gaping off wall and many didn’t work, also child got electric shock from one on roof top when touched it.
