Perfect base for exploring Poitiers

Great location within a few hundred feet of the historic centre and all it has to offer. Very good communication with the manager of the property. Delightful appartment; clean, comfortable, well-designed and very reasonably priced. Excellent overnight parking in the multi-storey car park at the station.

Everything exceeded my expectations.

The suite is exactly as depicted. Take away the modern electronics and it feels like a Napleomoc era townhouse.

A tiny thing, there was no fire extinguisher in the suite itself. However there was a small one on the ground floor.

Great location - just on the edge of the main town. Charlotte was a helpful host and recommended several places. The apartment was old style France - restored beautifully. Comfy bed. I loved it.

Parking was difficult 😞. We had special instructions and had to negotiate little narrow streets to a closed garage. Made worse by heavy rains. Got there in the end.

Beautiful apartment in great central location!

My family of four stayed at La Maison de la Liberte in October. The apartment is gorgeous and was perfect for our stay and adventures. It was very spacious, the beds were super comfortable and the location was perfect... just a few minutes walk to everything in central Poitiers. Charlotte, the host, was lovely and had a lot of maps, information and recommendations available for our visit. We visited Futuroscope as well, and it was a short 10-15 minute drive to get there. Staying in the center of town gave us a great taste of the city. I would highly recommend La Maison de la Liberte!

Stunning accomodation in peaceful central location

A beautifully restored historical building, with great attention to detail by the lovely owner Charlotte. Located centrally on a square, which was used for some sports practice on Saturday morning, but was otherwise totally peaceful! Our room gave a nod to a bygone era, in it’s beautiful decoration and styling, but was clean and uncluttered so felt like a home not a museum. The bed was very comfortable and all linen fresh and clean. We stayed three nights over a weekend and it was truly one of the loveliest spaces we have had. A cleverly screened kitchenette allowed us to cook some beautiful hand made pasta and sauce from the local Poitiers produce market, and enjoy some fresh salad and local wine ‘at home’ as a change from eating out!! Cannot recommend highly enough.

Everything was exactly as advertised, nothing fell short of expectations - rare nowadays. Lots of nice little touches around the apartment, you could see the personal touch and it felt good.

A fabulous stay at La Maison de Liberte, Charlotte is an excellent host and offers a masterclass in hospitality 👏🏽 every detail has been thought of in anticipation of guest comfort. The quality is excellent we stayed in the apartment at the front with huge windows and view over the square.

La anfitriona no contestaba las llamadas y mensajes, muy mal trato todo el tiempo, al salir no hecho la culpa de unos desperfectos del estudio. No volvería a llegar ahí por ninguna chance. De hecho sigo esperando el depósito pero no contesta

Comfort en luxe aan een rustig pleintje midden in de stad.

Het is er heel gezellig en mooi. Heel fijn met de extra kamer voor de kinderen. Uitzicht op gezellig en rustig pleintje. Zo makkelijk en gezellig om de stad in te lopen.

Het parkeren was wat lastig. Wij hebben de auto 2x per dag verplaatst.
