A very comfortable apartment in a great location

Location is excellent, walking distance to town, across the road from lake Windermere and a lovely quiet garden

Pure nature

The sourandings were amazing, and self-driven boats were the cherry from the top side. Thank you

Satisfying although a bit pricey for quality

Spatious with 3 double bedrooms. Views are indeed very pleasant. Well equipped to cook, and even an oven and microwave. I liked the washing machine and dishwasher, and having two toilets. It is clean even though not very modern.

Carpet and furniture are quite old and not very study..The bathrooms are very tight and not handy. The shower is very small. The bathtub takes all space and you can really shower in it. Matresses are not very comfortable. It's things that I would find acceptable if the appartement was not that pricey.

Beautiful Sethera

A beautifully decorated, peaceful apartment with plenty of space and wonderful views.

I didn't like leaving at the end of my stay! I loved it. I only missed a wooden spoon for cooking! I really hope to return.

Super views and location, great bedrooms and shower room, some areas and items in the kitchen were not clean but overall an excellent, cosy stay and ideal for walking and exploring

Great location ation with stunning views!

The location is great, only a couple of minutes walk to the lake with cafes, pubs and access to the ferries. The views are stunning. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need, cooker, toaster, kettle, microwave, dushwasher, waher/dryer etc. 3 decent size bedrooms, especially the master with en suite. The roll top bath was amazing! Comfy beds with quality bedding. There was enough room for us (5 adults). Great to have free parking as this can be an issue in Ambleside. The drive it a little steep but not too bad if you take it slowly.

Some of the carpets could do with replacing but this certainly didn't impact our stay.

Great location on the south end of Ambleside. Great park over the road which is right by the lake and also a really good pub

I’m quite tall and some of the doorways are small and I bumped my head quite a lot. We also had really hot weather so the apartment was very hot, even with the windows open. The addition of some fans would be very useful.

All other facilities were above average

Lighting to the property on the road could be better. Difficult to find sign in the dark. Also , walking up from the road to property in the dark without light as the ground was slippy due to rain and leaves. Light as you first entered the building didn't work properly either.

Nice location with for visiting Lake District

Very good location, could walk into town and had nice view from main bedrooms. Comfortable beds with very clean bedsheets. We’ve spotted 2 dears in the garden.

Toilet seat broken- previous review has already highlighted this and owner didn’t fix it. Bedsheets and towels very clean, however the cleanliness of the property was not that good: eg spiders appear every day in several rooms so maybe a thorough cleaning to remove the spider eggs? Also we could see cleaning was superficial as the skirting boards were dusty and there were cobwebs the corners

Beautiful views across the Lake District from this fantastic flat

Beautiful flat with the most amazing views. We had a fantastic family holiday here with our 4 and 6 year olds. 3 really lovely double bedrooms and lovely open family lounge and dining area. Well equipped kitchen (again with the best view!). Walking distance to both Ambleside centre and also Waterhead pier on lake Windermere. Check in was very easy with clear directions and instructions sent before arrival. Super clean flat on arrival and all appliances in great working order.

Arrived on time to find the priory hasn't been cleaned. After a call cleaners did arrive, but delayed check in by an hour. No deep clean for some time, and a but tired Broken toilet seat in main bathroom Ensuite bathroom needs attention, Flimsy taps on bath and overflow plug loose

Perfect location, spacious, well-equipped, great facilities, lovely views.

The accommodation was perfect for our needs: the location was ideal, the accommodation was spacious with a lovely open plan living and dining area, 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen was really well equipped and we enjoyed cooking and eating at the accommodation. The views from the lounge area are fantastic - we watched sunsets and changing weather over Loughrigg Fell. Parking was plentiful and easy to use. We would definitely return to Sethera.

A few small negatives: the stairs approaching the front door of the property were dingy and in poor repair with missing stair carpet and bare boards on many treads and risers. The open-rung metal stairs are 'industrial' rather than residential. The decoration in the property was mostly clean and fresh but showing its age in places with damp spots from water ingress on the ceilings in many places and cracks between the walls and ceilings. There was a strong, unpleasant, ammoniacal smell in the master bedroom that was hard to locate but pervasive and persistent, especially when lying in bed. Opening the windows brought no relief from the smell, which was quite unpleasant. This may be residual smell from chemicals used for COVID disinfection measures, but should be checked out. At £899 for 4 nights we felt the property was overpriced but we had no other options. Despite the negatives and the price we enjoyed our time in the Lake District and the facilities of Sethera.
