Well appointed property in a great location with plenty of parking.

The location and amenities. We stayed at the cottage with our dog and there was an enclosed garden and lots of walks near by.

The management company contacted us to let us know that a chimney sweep was coming to sweep the chimney during our stay. It’s not great that maintenance is being done when the cottage is occupied.

Ideal for large family as base to explore Lakes

Located perfectly to wander into Ambleside centre but far enough away to remain quiet. Spacious enough for a multi generation family of 10. Plenty of secure outdoor space for 2 dogs. En-suite rooms makes a big difference. Property has lots of character.

Exterior grounds need a good tidy up , especially as we go into the summer period . Fridge wasn’t very cold and bottle shelf broken which was a mild annoyance , 2nd drinks fridge would be ideal . Parking : just to clarify that unless you have very small cars , the space of suitable for 3 cars with care , not 4

A lovely old cottage with lots of features and a good way to accommodate different generations.

It worked well for us having two sitting rooms - the grandchildren could keep their toys in one room and the log burner was in the other room. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, utensils etc and the showers were brilliant. All the bedrooms were very comfortable.

There wasn’t room in either sitting room for all nine of us to sit.

Excellent for big family gathering!

Lovely house, spacious and comfortable. We came in big family group and really enjoyed our stay here. Cozy place to stay. Near to all the attractions points. The house condition is very good beyond my expectations. Highly recommended especially for big group.

Perfect accommodation for our family group of 9.

Location was ideal between the town and the lake. Bedrooms, en-suites and other bathrooms/toilets were exceptionally good. Good spacious dining room. Everything was clean and tidy. Garden was basically well equipped with tables and chairs. Parking included.

Some of the furniture in the lounges had seen better days. Nothing else to moan about!

Cosy cottage ideal location

Location was great size of property was excellent big bedrooms, reasonably priced to! parking outside and 2 lounges really useful. Lovely log fire to. Large selection of board games and dvds to watch if needed. TVs in both lounges, dining room and one of the bedrooms. Huge dining room and kitchen Loved the fact that 3 bedrooms were ensuite so no waiting around for the bathroom in the morning! Lovely big main bathroom and Dog friendly to!

Cottage can get a little cold even with heating on full and fire on. One of the chairs in the lounge with the fire needs replacing as springs have gone in the cushion. Some of the showers a little hard to turn on and off. Still a great place for a large family/group to stay in and would stay again just a few maintenance areas to be improved on.

A lovely and relaxing stay in a cottage which was ideal for a large family holiday

A lovely, spacious but cosy property with a secure garden for dogs and grandchildren . Parking was excellent. Very large and comfortable bedrooms. The number of bathrooms was excellent.

Overall Treacle cottage was ideal for our visit.

Do not believe parking area would fit four cars, we had to specifically arrange cars to get three in. Some of the small chairs in the entrance area are particularly uncomfortable and could be replaced.

Really enjoyable week!

Great house in a great location. Plenty of space for everyone and had everything we needed. Garden is lovely and backs onto a good walking route.

The only issue was that the hot water temperature was a bit too low so showers weren't as warm as we would like. We also had to vacate by 9am on the last day (which was probably due to covid), despite being told 10am.
