Excellent Location

Location was great!

The mattress is very soft and not comfortable as I could feel the spring underneath. Toilet rolls provided were not enough for 7 people.

Lovely place, great location

Great location next to lake with some lovely pubs on the doorstep and an easy walk into the centre of Ambleside should you wish to go

Great spot!

The house was very cosy, warm and comfortable, supplied with everything you'd need for a long or short stay. Situated in a great location (in Waterhead, walking distance to Ambleside, only a stone's throw from the lake) with private, off street parking is a huge bonus. It is on the main road however which is rather noisy from the front facing bedrooms (but that's the trade off you make for the otherwise excellent location and facilities!).

Generally the house was very clean and well presented but there were a couple of bits which were missed out (rubber seals around showers and the shower heads themselves, lamps/ ornaments needed dusting down), but that's being picky. Overall it was excellent value for money and a comfortable stay for our family of 7 adults travelling for a birthday & wedding.

Excellent property, would defiantly recommend.

Lovely decor, great bathrooms, in fact all rooms were great. High quality finishes. Very clean and comfortable.

Bigger towels would have been better, they were very small and compared to the rest of the cottages standards let it down a little. YMCA hostel was noisy and disturbed our sleep (loud talking and laughing late at night) Not the property fault but be prepared for a noisyish location if you sleep with windows open.
