Great location. Only a few minutes walk into Ambleside and easily drivable to Windermere.
A bit dated and a little wear & tear in places.

Good location, mattresses very comfortable
Some of the door handles kept falling off. Some of the slats was broken on the bed and under the beds could do with a clean.

Beautiful well appointed cottage at a great location . The views were exceptional from most rooms. The backyard with blossoms and song birds a real treat to have breakfast in. We were lucky to have beautiful warm sunny days during our stay so enjoyed our walks down into town even the late evening ones.
One thing you need to be aware of , if traveling in groups of more than four, is that the boiler for hot water to the bathrooms is good enough for only 4 people. Be sure to press the Boost button on the boiler room after the third person is done showering so everyone has access hot water.
There washer and dryer are located in the garage. There’s also a table tennis table in there, which was a fun activity for us.
The hosts were promptly responsive to our call about the hot water issue.
The upstairs bathroom has a tub only with no shower so became useless for us that way as no one was into baths🙂Maybe if they consider adding a shower in there will make it more functional.
Over all a great place where we’d love to come back to. 👌👍🏻
The area rug in the living room needs to be washed or replaced. Very old and dusty. Being allergic to dust, had to deal with a bit of allergic rhinitis when going over a map spread on it.
