Such a cute travelling hostel best place to stay in the island of Flores

The atmosphere and the vibes are so nice. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. When I asked, they gave me an additional blanket. It was very convenient that they had lunch packages for going to Tikal. They gave it to me at 2 in the morning all warmed up.

The doors are the loudest doors ever. It is impossible that it doesn’t wake you up when someone enters/exits the room. It also gets loud in the courtyard in the evenings (till 10pm), so if you wanna have an early night sleep, you can’t. There could also be more surfaces to leave your stuff on.

Friendly staff, lots of communal facilities to use (pool table, lounge area), AC in private room.

Good tours (although they will apply a 15% surcharge if you try to pay by card - which has been illegal for 2 years yet they will play coy when you challenge them in it and refuse to back down. The manager even admitted it to be illegal - ridiculous given they do a roaring trade on tourists/travellers already)

Staff insist on adding a 10% card surcharge on paying for the stay and 15% on any tours booked. This has been illegal for 2yrs already and frankly way more than what their banking service costs could possibly be (max4.5%) so they are using it as an opportunity to profit from their customer illegally - staff even admitted it to being illegal but a policy their owner insists upon, left a really bad taste on our mouths Very noisy although we were there during the World Cup - just be wary it’s first and foremost a party hostel.
