Location, lay out, outside table, home comforts, well equipped, decoration.

Minor maintenance issues which could have easily been sorted. No basic welcome pack provided, no washing up liquid, no salt & pepper etc.

The location was perfect. The home was very comfortable and we lacked nothing. This was an exceptional stay! We lacked nothing as everything (and more) was provided. Swimming towels and throw blankets was also available.

The alarm was a bit problematic. The SMS and alarm note at the house didn’t match the remote we got, so alarm kept going off. The security company also came out to check, they were very good. I just want to suggest maybe looking at that again.

What a stay!

A beautiful, spacious house, just a short walk to the beach. This house had everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. Waking up and sitting on the balcony, enjoying a cup of coffee at sunrise was breathtaking. Comfortable beds and couches, each room having a door going outside and enough bathrooms. What a spectacular accommodation!

That we only spent two nights and didn't book it for a longer stay.

Very comfortable beds and seating in lounge, lots of light in the house, not at all dark and the bathrooms were spacious and user friendly especially for elderly persons.

Dust and spiderwebs. The loft above, although lovely, when someone walks in the loft it's a little disturbing as it is quite noisy when one is downstairs in the lounge.

Peaceful and relaxing.

The house is in a lovely location. The view of the sea from the upstairs deck is beautiful. It was easy to walk around town from the house and it is very close to the beach.

There wasn't any hand soap in the unit, which was unusual compared to other places where we've stayed. Otherwise there was everything you could need for a relaxing stay.

Comfortable house in a great location.

This house is in a great location, easy to walk to the Main Street and the beach. A good seafood restaurant really close by was very useful.

A damage deposit needed to be paid and they needed a South African bank account to refund it. As an overseas visitor this was not ideal! Most accommodation I have stayed in just authorise a credit card but do not take any payment unless there is damage.

Disappointing

Not much

Not even a teabag or a match to light a candle or fire. It was freezing and the heater did not work. One small oil heater for a double story house ☹️ we bought wood fire lighters and matches to make a fire inside to warm up the house. The fire smokes the whole house out and everything stank of smoke. No power backup for loadshedding. Just a couple of led lights which were not adequately charged up. One died before loadshedding was over. House is comfortable enough but not good in winter when it’s cold or during loadshedding. Whatever you do DONT make a fire inside!

Great location, very central and close to the beach front. It is a spacious property and would be lovely in summer.

Very cold in winter. No wood provided, not even a starter pack. There is only one fire place in the property and you cannot have a fire during loadshedding as the chimney only works when the electric fan is working. If you don't use the fan, the house fills with smoke. Unfortunately for us it was cold and raining while we were there (July) and the roof had a slight leak as well. The owners were kind enough to refund our money for unused nights so we could move on to a dry, warmer home.

I loved how spacious the house was. He home was also very kid friendly and Ioved how well equip the home is. It was really value for money and such a lovely home and very near to the beach and restaurant. My family and I will be coming again very soon. We had the best time.

Exceptional

Central location with easy access to the beach and restaurants and shops while being on a quiet cul de sac. View of the sea from the top balcony was beautiful to wake up to. Everything you needed was there and a very comfortable spacious lounge and outdoor living area. Added bonus was the rock kestrel nesting box on the neighbours house so we we had fun watching the comings and goings of the pair of kestrels.

Not being used to alarm systems it took us a while to get it right.

Very good

The property was great, it would have been an amazing stay, unfortunately the major building site next door was not communicated. We booked a whole week and found it very strange that neither the owner nor the hosts/agents knew that there was building happening next door right on the doorstep of the veranda- fireplace-outside lounging area with people constantly looking into our lives. Thank you to the owners for agreeing to let us leave the next day without penalty really appreciate that as it could have been very different. We would really want to come again once the building operations have seized as the property is lovely.

The house was absolutely beautiful.It had everything that we needed.It was very spacious and comfortable..The whole house is just stunning.I would definitely recommend to my friends and family and would book it again.It was our first time in Paternoster and the house exceeded all our expectations.It really made our trip unforgettable.

It was close the beach and a lovely little restaurant.

Didn’t really understand the alarm system, kept pressing the wrong button which had the alarm company show up a few times. I would have preferred airconditioning as well but there was a nice sea breeze.
