Not worth the money we paid

Spacious living room and bedroom

The house was not cleaned to standard, amenities in house not available, pool was nog Clean, no outdoor living space, gates on the property didnt work properly, stove inside a self catering house consisted of a “cheap” two burner camping stove, cupboards filled with “junk” and maintenance things (best was the drawers in the bedroom had previous guess personal items still in it) Policy says a deposit of R650.00 will be taken they took a deposit of R750.00, upon check out no one was really interested in helping just shoved a form over and when I asked about the return of the deposit the lady said you will get it back at some point they are busy so they will pay it back when they get the time

Nothing was to our expectations???

Waited to collect our keys, arrived at the property with no electricity. Had to wait for pre-paid power to get loeaded. Old dirty couches that have never been cleaned. They never changed our linen in 8 days, very poor hospitality!! No cleaning agents left for us to clean up! We had to request a braai to be dropped off for us to use. The amount of money they charged us for the service and property given was exremely dissapointing. Sadly we will never return and will surely let our extened family know not to ever visit or book in this town that we thought would be a wonderful experience.

our visit was absolutely joyful, relaxing and serene even load shedding did not put us off

The young lady was extremely friendly and lovely and very helpful. She directed us and was a call away should we need some more assistance, Thank you, beautiful lady.

We were 3 couples and we absolutely loved JOYFUL, the place was extremely cozy and not short of a thing may be an iron would be nice or we might have missed it. But other than creased clothing we enjoyed our stay. We loved the walk to the beach too. Thank you so much we will most definitely book again.

Beautiful cozy home. Lovely pool, even though it's winter, would luv to try it out in sumner. Happy to be able to bring our dogs. Beds very comfy and warm.

very disappointing and wont go back there

The house was quaint and quirky and looked like a lovely comfortable family destination and looked like it had a lot of potentional.

It looked beautiful in the pics online but they were misleading, it was a lot smaller than anticipated. The indoor braai didn't work and smoked out the house so we needed to cook in the fireplace in the lounge, the toaster wasn't working and tripped all the board, and there was no wifi, which is a problem if you have kids. And old rubbish bags were lefts inside the property. The location wasn't great at all, (on the wrong side of town and difficult to get to the beach) but the worst was the permanent residents across the road partied and played music until 3 am on both nights. So kind of felt like we were staying in the ghetto of Paternoster.

Love Paternoster, and we had a nice stay at the house

Houses behind the property were very noisy as they partied both nights we stayed at Joyful. We know that it is out of your hands and had to accept it. Lovely home though

Rules and regulations were a bit unclear about braaiing inside the property? Can you braai in the smaller of the two braai areas, inside the house? One of the bath towels was incredibly dirty, stained with some spots of brown matter as well as black marks (on a white towel). Not very nice to see. I did drop it off at the office together with the keys on the Sunday morning. Perhaps look at checking out time, 10:00 is rather inconvenient as there is no time to have some breakfast before packing up. 14:00 would really just round off a nice chilled weekend, with no rush.

Worst ever accommodation that we've experienced since coming to Paternoster

Close proximity of beach and shops

The poor state of the property what you advertise is absolutely not what you get. From walking into the house with the overwhelming firesmoke smell because both the fireplaces not working properly, light fixtures missing or not working, the broken ceiling in the main bedroom, spider webs everywhere, the disgusting stuff at the bottom of the kitchen cupboards. Getting woken up by security at 4 in the morning because the electricity of the property ran out.
